Wait for natural recovery? Desperate for advice

I took Fin for 4 years and quit 11 months ago. My side effects include nonexistent libido, no spontaneous/nocturnal erections, fat accumulation/gyno.

I have been lifting heavy weights about 4 times per week while running intermittent fasting where I only eat between 4pm-10pm. I have also adopted a ketogenic diet and supplement with Zinc, Magnesium, Potassium, and probiotics. I went to a walk in clinic about two weeks ago. The doc was only willing to measure my Testosterone, which came back at about 350 (130 - 620). The next GP who interpreted the results said I was in a healthy range, but has referred me to see an endocrinologist in a week. From what I’ve garnered on here, Endos seem to suck at treating or giving a shit about PFS.

There is a urologist named Dr. Keith Jarvi who is recommended on this website. He as agree to see me if I get a referral from my family GP (who is back in my hometown, as I am at uni). Do you think this is worth pursuing or is any sort of hormonal protocol mostly useless for my symptoms/will it make me worse in the long run.

Thanks for any guidance you can provide!

You’ll be waiting a long time…Why post this same thread again? Already told you what to do…If you are starting to get the fat gain that is bad…Been on treatments now for months and it’s still terrible…Did you get the straw hair as I call it? Or old lady hair some refeer to it that way…I had a total change it is like burnt up and and dry…Crazy shit this condition causes…

Although 350 may be in many doctors’ minds in the normal range, it may not be normal for you, and I suspect that your testosterone levels were higher prior to propecia use. It is too much of a coincidence that many many former propecia users have low normal testosterone.

Ya I think so too. I used to be pretty naturally shredded and much more invigorated. From what I hear though, there’s no point in getting my Testosterone levels up though. Is there truth to this? That PFS exposed individuals can’t respond to Test no matter how high it is?

That is why I am asking if pursuing a urologist is useless and should I just wait the years for natural improvement.

I posted this differently. I want feedback from others. Your and mine symptoms are nothing alike really so the etiology of our pathologies is probably heterogeneous.

My experience from being a forum member for about 2 years now, and a lurker before that, is that %99 of the people who have PFS don’t respond to hormones, and some even claim to get worse after using hormones. I tried all kinds of hormone altering drugs and had zero results, meaning that I still felt the same even when all my hormone levels looked great. This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t give it a try, as everyone is different, but you asked, and this is the case.

I had a big improvement over the course of the protocol ANF clomid…My test went from 380 to 692…Free test is really what matters but it went from 7.91 to 15.3…Antone telling a 25 year old that 350 test is normal I question his sanity…You need to get on Clomid first anyone’s test that is 350 and goes up you are gonna notice improvement.

I have a similar story. While it seems that most people do not benefit from pumping up their testosterone via Clomid, some people do. Personally I think I will be trying Clomid in the next six months if things don’t improve. I’ll definitely be trying Cialis.

Check out Dr. Crisler’s forum on Allthingsmale. He thinks there may be a benefit to daily Cialis, as well as to a short stint of Clomid. I haven’t done any other prescription meds since Propecia, but like you I’m about ready to try something. The idea behind Cialis is that it would help things flow through the prostate.
