It could be vitiligo like any other autoinmune disorder…in my case i got alopecia areata, clean patches without hair on my head.
vitiligo is white patches, not brown

@Go_Faster_Sonic, you’re right. They are often mentioned together, but have different suspected causes.
@Tomas, I have a totally white spot where my balls meet my penis that is surrounded by a dark brown outline and have what appears to be melasma on the back of my neck. These both developed in the past 10 years. Weird stuff.
