interesting moonman, i have read that vitamin 25-D is low in chronic disease, 1,25-D (1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D) tends to be very high - so i think from now on we should request that both of these should be tested, if we test our vitamin D.
A person that I talk with regularly on this board said that Labera, an old member… You might remember him… Took dexa also and is feeling quite good… he actually msged Labera to see how he was feeling and thats what he said… so perhaps you could msg him and get some more info out of him.
Golf,
your link kills !
As I am now under heavy antibiotics, I wonder if it would be an opportunity to try the olmesartan (or whatever, sorry, not sure if it’s the correct name) at the same time.
As anyone taken it at those doses so far and what have his body reactions been like ?
Be certain they freeze the sample as soon as they get it out of you, otherwise it may be falsely low.
Yes I’ve had it done, need to dig up the exact numbers. It was just below the level considered “elevated” even though my 25-OH was below normal. I had stopped all supplementation for three months, and had the test taken in mid winter so minimal if any Vit D3 production.
I have high D1,25 (79) and borderline-low D25 (30ish). I am a former 12-year finasteride user with mild side effects after 2-years off. I think others should get both tested - you will need to specify D1,25 however since it is rarely done and has special handling requirements. See my post here…
