Hey pal, actually the body’s glucose stores (glycogen) last for 30 hours once fasting begins. So every 24 hrs when I eat, I replenish the glucose stores that haven’t even been fully depleted. In fact, assuming I did run out of my glucose stores, my body would begin producing ketone bodies, and ketones are a tremendous source of energy. Help me understand your logic on burning out your adrenals by fasting. Yes, cortisol is increased, but it is coupled with the effects of glucagon, epinephrine, and growth hormone to aid in the release of glucose in your body. The increase in cortisol shouldn’t be so drastic that you get Addison’s (or, as it’s called on this site, adrenal burnout). I’ve never heard of someone getting Addison’s from short-term fasts. If you can show me evidence (journal article, etc.) of someone getting sick from eating once a day, I’ll be more likely to believe it. All I’m saying is that this worked for me, and my energy level is soaring.

When you don’t eat, your glucose levels still remain constant. That’s because your liver is able to produce glucose when you fast (It release glucose from the stored form, glycogen). So actually, blood glucose levels are more normalized during temporary fasts than they are during constant eating. Regarding my vision, I still have the same vision problems described in the physical side effects forum. Congrats on your recovery! That’s great to hear!

Did you ever have Lasik or any other laser eye correction?

Never had Lasik, though it has been brought to my attention by a dermatologist that Lasik patients can have similar symptoms as the ones I describe.

simple answer = buy more drugs from big pharma?
i don’t want to put any more drugs in i just want to feel normal again

This topic is old however I wanted to reach out to people who are experiencing eye problems and have gone to a dr and everything is OK.

It turns out I have advanced retinoshisis (splitting of the retina) in my right eye and it’s also coming in my left. Usually people get this condition when they are 60+ but it came 30 years early for me. The only thing I can come up with is taking propecia for 4 years some how caused/sped up this condition. I have of course stopped taking propecia.

I have permenant vision loss. The average optomotrist/ophtalmologist can miss this condition. For those of you with eye problems I urge you to check with a retinaspecialist or ask the ophtalmologist to search for a schisis.

I have one big one in my right, 2 small ones in my left and they are hard to find. This would explain people’s flashes and symptoms but why a dr might say, all is OK.

I am currently at the DRs as an emergency case and will get up to speed on the forums once I have time. Good luck to all.

I had this two times. You guys might want to check your blood pressure when this happens. My blood pressure was pretty low when I had vision problems.

what did you do about the low blood pressure? or do you have any more info into this low blood pressure type thing?

Dont be lazy and do erg test asap for night vision

Any updates from brainfogged or others experiencing vision problems?

Did anyone with pressure know how to bring it down?

I still have some light sensitivity and visual snow. Its better then it was at first. Still very annoying. I think its one of the key reasons why I am convinced that all of the Propecia problems are linked to neurological damage.

Any update from the folks with head pressure/vision problems? It’s really driving me nuts.

me too. its so bad that i cant cope with it. i have stitches in the head and comprehension problems. cant read a book anymore

What’s your blood pressure? I noticed on my health records that I used to have high blood pressure (ish) 130/70 and now it is consistently (right after pfs) 110/70. Not sure there is a connect but thought I’d note that

Game over,

I have the exact same problems you have had. Do you still have them now? Do the floaters get less and the contrast issues around letters?
