Urologist update

Just seen one of the urologists recommended by propeciahelp tonight he was very informative knew exactly what he was talking about a far fetch from the usual doctors I’ve seen. He told me that propecia should never have been marketed to young men as it’s intended use was for old men with enlarged prostates. Who in their right fucking minds thought this would be a clever idea they should have their balls chopped off. This is a class A 1 poison for any young men out there, fucking disgusting. He told me that I never even needed finasteride that I had a good head of hair, if only my hair wasn’t falling out in clumps I’d never be in this fucking mess it’s like I was destined to get hit by this thing. Jesus I’m so angry. We sat there and went through the long list of life changing side effects and he was truly shocked what can I say another young life taken away due to criminals.

Perhaps you should share the urologist’s name and location so other people can visit.

That’s great to hear I’ve seen a load of urologists over the years but none of them believed PFS was real.

I think Finasteride is one of the main drugs urologists prescribe.

He wants me to see an endocrinologist to test hormones.

It is yeah he was saying that he prescribes finasteride to old men for enlarged prostates, majority of them don’t have PFS but he did say even those get side effects but the benefits outweigh the risks in their case he said they don’t use finasteride anymore but dutasteride. This drug is not designed for younger men and should never have been marketed towards us this shit is breaking my heart man.

Dutasteride is even worse than Finasteride.

I’ve heard this but in contrary to finasteride I think it’s actually safer despite having a higher affinity for the 5AR enzyme it’s the flat dose response of finasteride that concerns me the most.

If Dutasteride was safer than Finasteride it would have been officially licensed for hair loss.

Anyone I have heard who has used both drugs say that the side effects on Dutasteride are far worse than Finasteride.

I think someone posted a chart which showed the rate at which 5ar came back after inhibition was different with Finasteride - it is more gradual with Dutasteride, which presumably means less likelyhood of overloading and silencing of receptors.

But there are still many people who develop PFS or PDS from Dutasteride.

Also they did clinical trials into Dutasteride for hair loss which were abandoned.

I think that tells us all we need to know about its safety.

I thought Dutasteride inhibits both 5ar enzymes types 1 and 2, and that’s what makes it more potent.

It also has a massive half life of up to 5 weeks.
