Took a single dose 3 months ago, suspecting PFS

Hi, I’m 17 and I took a single 1mg dose of finasteride 3 months and a week ago. I had bad ball ache for 5 days and after around 3 days, I noticed that my corpus spongiosum couldn’t properly get erect anymore and that it lost sensitivity, perhaps even atrophied/shrinked. I also suddenly developed a tense headache at the sides and a perceived lack of oxygen or trouble breathing. Those are the 2 most important symptoms that came after the finasteride. I’ve always felt depressed since then, sometimes more sometimes less, but it could be only due to those 2 + other minor symptoms. Same thing for my shitty libido.

I had a blood check 1 month ago showing borderline high testosterone levels (1100ng/dl, normal range at 17 is 300-1200) but couldn’t get any other values. Lately I’ve noticed increased (darker) body hair but maybe that’s just puberty.

What do you guys think?

I took 1 dose 7 months ago and have full blown PFS have been bed bound ever since and been to hospital over 20 times. I don’t know why a 17 year old would ever be prescribed finasteride your doc should be thrown in jail! DHT is essential for keeping those tissues healthy you should get a full hormone check and report back. Stay positive

I hope you get better soon, you are at my age when i took 4 pills of Accutane. Years ago… try stay healthy and avoid 5ar inhibitor substances…

Online advertising that’s how I got caught I suspect the rise in young men being hit will increase over the next coming years substantially

With Hims and Keeps we will see PFS become a normal thing within the next 2 years I estimate, this is only the beginning! Not to mention these companies are paying social media/public figures to help advertise Fin.

Honestly these replies are disappointing. I know I took fin too young. What about my symptoms or if this can even happen from a single dose?

The most important part for me is regarding my corpus cavernosum/spongiosum. Again, reading that blog and seeing the corpus cavernosum (turning into cartilage) mentioned terrified me, so I thought someone could clear this up…

Yeah and I believe you, but I posted this to get a sciency explanation of that blog or my symptoms. I just don’t know where to ask someone really knowledgeable about PFS like that blog’s author. I just want some closure because I’ve been really second-guessing and basically obsessing over if this is PFS or not since taking 1mg. If the only replies I’m getting on THE pfs forum are consolation messages I really have no clue where to turn to.

There’s another (honestly more) plausible reason for some/most of my symptoms but idk what caused what and I keep thinking that everything started after taking fin rather than slowly crept up. I hate myself so much for not sorting out other medical problems first, at least before taking fin so that it wouldn’t obsess me this much… Also because I see no way out of my fucked up medical situation IF it isn’t even caused by fin so what the hell.
