I had a family member today try and take their life. For the past 4 years I have suffered the most extreme side effects from PFS, and I have been getting by just by thinking of my family. And he, a healthy man who was dumped by his girlfriend tries to take his life. Well F*ck Him!!! How dare he!!!

The Men on this board who struggle on despite the agony and the lows we face, struggle on through because we don’t want our family’s to go through the pain of finding our dead bodies are nothing short of Heroes.

Thank You All for Your STRENGTH!!!

Thanks for the kind words. There is a fight to be fought here. Someone just sent me this that got my blood boiling, as it should all yours. Merck spokewoman Lainie Keller told three lies to the Toronto Star (just one of the lies has been underlined)

I’m not trained in Law or Government, but I believe the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) can hold Merck accountable for lying to the media. I think we should all make the FTC (and the Canadian equivalent) aware of these lies.

Losing your girlfreind is a temporary problem which you can get over given enough time. Most people who commit suicide do so for trivial reasons compared to what we have to deal with. A freind of mine committed suicide a few years ago over a relationship. If I was to recover from PFS and had my health their is nothing in life I couldnt get over.

try losing your girlfriend with zero libido and zero sex drive and see how bad you feel. i lost my GF/best friend because of this disease… and have no attraction for other girls right now. it’s extremely depressing. if i actually had a sex drive, i could find someone else, but i dont have feelings for other girls and all i can feel is how my ex is just with some other guy right now and just left me to rot. seriously, fuck all this shit.

What Merck and the Hair restoration places are doing is the equivalent of MURDER in my opinion.
When you strip away the very essence of a man, his personality, attitude, confidence and sex life, how would ANYONE expect this shell of a person deal with it?!@

I stay alive to fight Merck and be here for my family.

Does anyone have a clue about how many men have committed suicide?

A silenced voice is exactly what Merck would want, and I’m not going to comply.

It is hard to have an exact number on suicides. Since depression is one of the issues, it is blamed instead of Propecia. Most do not make the link.
