has anybody heard from him since  how is he doing is he improving or did he improve

I searched him alot but never found him.He posted on many different forums and then suddenly disappeared. Honeslty I think he just offed himself

Hope not…

yes I hope the same but he was all over the internet with very depressing messages and then suddenly disappeared. Maybe he is here but with different ID.

How long ago?

I don’t remember exactly but I think his last post was in July 2008. You can google him.I saw his posts on hairloss forums and on some body building forums. But why you guys got so interested in him now? it won’t help us. Many useres disappeared and did not come back.

I always wonder what percentage of the guys who never come back gave up, how many got better and how many off’ed themselves. My friend keeps tellin me they all got better but thats very hard to believe. I think the very first thing anyone here would do would be to come back here and tell everyone exactly what they did.

Two things:

They probably get a somewhat better, but not even close to their normal state. Therefore, they can’t say that they are recovered so there is no point in reporting anything. It is probably just time that gets them somewhat better. They just chalk it up to bad luck and put it behind them.

They probably don’t want to admit that they have recovered to any degree because it will be documented that they are admitting recovery and therefore think that they are forfeiting the right to sue Merck should this thing ever go to class action.

For myself, I know that when I am feeling even a little bit better than normal, I don’t visit the forum as much. If I ever made a recovery or significant improvement, I’d wait a long time before publishing it to make sure that it in fact the real thing.

Yes, some might just avoid the forum because it adds to their depression. More you learn about this the more depressing it gets.

Personally, Im going to try to focus more on the positive in my posts. Theories, reading the medical literature, possible treatments, etc. I think we all understand PFS is devestating. Dwelling on how depressing this is doesnt really get us any further.

people who got better within 3 months are the ones who got better, after 6 months…I don’t know. story of GIMZIM is interesting got sides from SP and then started it again.

I sent him a message a couple years back. He replied on his member profile :

I look and feel a lot better than I did a year ago, but unfortunately I’m still suffering from sexual side effects that were not present on or before the SP (genital numbness, lack of morning/random erections, mild ED, eye floaters, tissue changes).

I’ve basically had to go on anti-depressants to deal with this even though this makes the existing symptoms worse. I suggset you goto propeciahelp.com if you haven’t been there to read up on this. I honestly have avoided that site and posting on forums as it downright depresses me - I was also mentally unstable at the time due to whatever SP did to me mentally and the ensuing panic from all of this.

All I know is that as time passes things will improve, trust me. Keep your head up. I’ve been going to a therapist and only recently started takings ADs to help cope with this. It definitely helps to share it with someone you’re close with. All the best.
