SSRIS same symptoms (what about crying)

The side effects users describe on this site is exactly the same as the site I am on for SSRI induced sexual dysfunction after discontinuance.
sexual-dysfunction.info/forum/

That site is new but the yahoo forum is in a transition phase where a lot of the posts from the huge archive of yahoo are soon to be posted. Everything I have read here is already familiar to me b/c of the other site and experiencing the same thing.

We also try to increase dopamine and take the same supplements OTC. In addition we have numb-like emotions a lot of the time and have literally no sensation in the genitals. It is literally numb down there as well as hormone levels being very similiar to most of the users on this site.
I was wondering if anyone has a hard time crying. That is also a major side effect of SSRIs and I am wondering whether the same goes for anyone on this site to see if that symptom also matches up.

~thanx in advance and hopefully a cure is found soon

That forum is pretty empty, most of the messages are posted in the yahoo forum which is health.groups.yahoo.com/group/SSRIsex/. It would be interesting if we could cross check all the symptoms and what is theorized to cause this dysfunction, maybe there is an ultimate commonaility as far as what is detering our sex drives, due to ssri’s and propicia.

This is VERY interesting Infected.

I absolutely cant cry. Also I dont just feel numb in my genitals, its all over my body, especially first thing in the morning.

Also 5 htp and melatonin make this worse, especially 5 htp. Would there be any reason for this?

Id really like you to hang around here if you could. Even just drop in from time to time. Have you guys had any success over there?

Its interesting you say that your T levels have dropped also.

I’ll definitely stick around  . My story is pretty deep I’ll post it for you sometime. I’m 22 by the way. I think there are similiarities between us as well as differences. From my own opinion both of us have a problem with our dopamergenic system.I think SSRIs may have generated more serotonin synapses so our problem is worse in some areas although I don’t know the full extent of the drug you took. I think the prefrontal cortex is an area that is something I’m concentrating on. I think there may be some sort of blockage around there although this is just an opinion. The crying thing is definitely a sign of blockage somewhere. I don’t believe anything was destroyed in your brain either it is just not being converted properly from gene expression as well and proper dopamine function is critical for our hormone production.

Emotional crying also releases prolactin and other hormones so crying is very healthy.
That article may not mean much but it says something about crying how it is important indication of sexual function. I remember myself being able to emit some emotional tears of joy when masturbating which is now an impossibility. The numb balls are an indication of a flat line in connection.
After trying maca last night I actually got feeling in my balls but still was unable to cry. I was not horny at all just got less numb. I seemed to produce more energy for crying but it was literally sucked back in just like my penis gets sucked back in like a vacuum preventing erection. Some people on the site I belong to have had success after being off the drug for a while by taking supplements such as maca and other supplements but the majority are stuck. One guy had it for a while and got back to baseline level after taking a whole regimen of hormone injections and claimed he felt back to normal at about 90% after being off the drugs for 10 years.
I think there should be a cure to this in the very near future. Bet you anything the drug companies are already well aware.

~Hang in there

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dopamine_agonist Bumped into this one.

“There is also an ongoing clinical trial to test the effectiveness of Requip (ropinirole), a dopamine agonist, in reversing the symptoms of SSRI induced sexual dysfunction. [1]”
As I had some luck with cabergoline, maybe these are worth a shot if hormones are within range. Good luck.

edit: After running a search, it seems that this is nothing new.
