Solonjk Blood Tests

Yeah, because they’re actually willing to try it. They actually go for it, and DO it, because thats actually what you’re supposed to do. Thats what everyone at the gym who’s doin it tells you. They don’t listen to doctors really.
So anyway, my message is that you/we should start going for it.
See I think the problems for docs now is the bias towards it, because it means more people would feel more comfortable about taking steroids, and also they also see all the statisitics, and most doctors don’t want to try something that they’ve even heard fails once, because they dont want to feel responsible, and also since everyone else is just told to use TRT thats their easy way out.

With respect to tRT use. Your body wont “depend” on it after on;y a month or two, like I said millions take it. Not all these people get “shut down” just for trying it for a few months. I.e. Ifeel like lot of people just try it out. I basically would try it if I were you

Also, did you read about what Antcraven had said about all the supplements and herbs he took. I guess he got testicular cancer, and blames it possibly on the sups and herbs.

Adiol-G is a marker of 5-AR activity in the body. Seems your 5AR activity and thus DHT conversion is low?

epirev.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/re … 3/1/42.pdf
“In epidemiologic studies, serum levels of 3a-diol G are commonly used as an indirect measure of 5areductase enzymatic activity, since it is not feasible to measure tissue levels of testosterone and dihydrotestosterone in cases and healthy subjects. The current belief is that serum levels of 3a-diol G reflect enzyme activities of both steroid 5a-reductase types 1 and 2. However, in studies of men treated with finasteride, a 5a-reductase type 2 inhibitor, serum levels of 3a-diol G decrease concomitantly with finasteride treatment, suggesting that 3a-diol G levels predominantly reflect the activity of the type 2 enzyme.”

andrologyjournal.org/cgi/con … ct/13/1/23
"3 alpha diol G levels are especially increased in adrenal disorders of androgenicity such as andrenogenital syndrome; it is also a good marker of response to therapy. Levels are reduced in various forms of male pseudohermaphroditism. 3 alpha androstanediol glucuronide appears to be the best marker available of DHT formation in target tissues such as skin. "

.

dude, hang in there. just try some trt gel for three-four weeks man. Its not gonna kill you. And you might feel much much better.
Don’t give up so soon. You will, and can, get better. No doubt about it.

Adiol-G is simply a marker of 5ar activity in the body, I am not an expert and so can only find relevant materials on what it “may” mean. Only a qualified Endo would be able to tell you what it truly means – but my GUESS is right now, activity is low, likely due to low T, thus less conversion of T–>DHT.

Beyond that, your T levels are ridiculously low. Clearly you are in need of Testosterone treatment, wether via boosting your own production or trying a round of TRT.

Since the docs don’t want to try jumpstarting your system you have 3 choices:

  • try it on your own (obtain stuff off the Net, you’d have to research where)
  • Fly to the US for an appointment with Dr Crisler or Shippen to try and jumpstart (costs $)
  • Try the TRT trial you are being offered by your docs and see how you do (hopefully suggest hCG to maintain fertility)

I would say most of your symptoms are likely related to your low T!! Especially the depression, muscle atrophy, aches and general fatigue.

Taking Androgel or injecting yourself 2x a month for life may sound daunting but if the alternative is to live a life of misery, I would think the choice is clear – getting your T up, whichever way possible.

And suicide is NOT the answer! You will only leave behind pain and suffering for your loved ones. DO NOT GIVE UP!!!

I hope you will make the right choice and if all else fails, at least TRY the TRT.

See, I think where the misunderstanding is… I believe that if there is pain, swelling, prostate problems, whatever…, I think that maybe some short term TRT could maybe help clear up these problems. Get the plumbing working again, so to speak, then come off the TRT, and then maybe one’s body could then start making T more efficiently again.

I have read in one of the articles on here that, something along the lines of, ‘when sometimes a man undergoes a trauma in life, T can fall dramatically and may take a lot of time to climb back to normal w/o help.’

And then so if all the plumbing becomes backed up when this happens, how could you expect the body to then just resume production of healthy levels of T just like that??
I think that people go and get prescribed TRT in certain situation, just for a time being, while their body’s repair itself, so to speak, and then once they become healthy again, i.e. prostate begins pumping again, blood flow returns to normal, adrenals start working properly again, the TRT is then stopped, and in time one’s own production is then more likely to rise to normal healthy levels again. Thats what I think. I don’t think everyone that is put on TRT is just throwing in the towel.

I would like to hear from someone whether or not this could be true.

Because you see, my endo at Beth Israel Deconness Hospital in Boston told me to take TRT for just a short time to see if things repair themselves early on, and he said, “No, just for a short time.”
I kinda wish I had tried it, because maybe I wouldn’t have prostatitis now…

Anyway, I hope this helps.

Basically i am trying to recover from the shock of testicular atrophy still.

So do you not attribute your symptoms to finasteride use then, but rather to using the bacteria-laden supplements?

It all started after finasteride

Just a thought man, ALTHOUGH IT IS WELL KNOWN!
These are common symptoms of prostatitis. ANd although I try not to be a ‘prostatitis advocate’ anymore, because it can be so bad, and dont want people thinking they have it if they truely may not, because then it makes it worse. But this very well MAY BE PROSTATITIS!

Many a member on this site have gotten prostatitis from this damage that Finasteride has caused (myself included). And it SUCKS!
But I wish I had gone on antibiotics long ago, i.e. back last May when I started to feel symptoms, and when Panic, who no longer has prostatitis symptoms such as I, took antibiotics for a full course and got rid of his pain and symptoms.
I am finally now on a long antibiotic treatment, and I am getting better.
I suggest you try the same.

And I’m talking like 2 MONTHS of antibiotics, is what it takes to get rid of chronioc forms of prostatitis.

Anyway, DUDE, AGAIN, I WAS IN YOUR SHOES!! SO MUCH PAIN! TAKE ANTIBIOTICS, IT MAY HELP YOU!!!

.

Also, you have to do things for yourself, such as common sense things. Do what YOU can to reduce pain. A sedentary lifestyle will contribute to prostatitis and pain, so get out, walk, do something active, try to relax, and whatever. I know its hard, but it will help. Do whatever you can that will reduce discomfort.
Wear loose fitting pants with a loose elastic wasteband, not jeans. Take sitz baths (look it up), and eat the right foods (not the wrong foods).

Dude you can beat this. Your body naturally wants to recover. Bodies do that. I know you’re frustrated, but hang in there, you can rebound from this and become healthy again, you just have to work at it, and try to relax, and quit PANICKING so much! If you cannot calm down, your body will not recover. Talk to family. Tell them you need support, and family.

So anyway, take a good probiotic, drink lots of water, and take your antibiotics for a few months, and it will go away.

I think Fin f—ed things up just enough in the prostate for bacteria to then easily infect it. Idk really, but what I do know is that lots of us have it. I think Mew should definately put a subsection of itself called “Prostatitis”.

Good luck man. You can recover from it. Do things that help it. Just as you said, its disappearing.

.

You should have a belly full of food when you take your medications, so it doesn’t make you sick or nauseous.

You’ll get better dude. Just focus on eating healthy. Get good sleep, and activity and exercise is good, but stay healthy and you will get better. Don’t worry.

I have made vast improvements in the past three weeks just do to being busy (the tree company), and not getting stressed or distracted by others, but by taking care of myself, while also working very hard! Oh, and also am still on the antibiotics (week 5).

Good luck man!

Hey solonjk,

did your pain in the epididymis ever go away? I have had it on and off for a couple months. The doctor told me that it is just normal pain and I should just tolerate it. The pain is not severe and I can, it just has been there for the last week and keeps reminding me of taking this damn drug. Anyways, did the antibiotics help get rid of the pain? I don’t know if I should go see the urologist again and have him give me antibiotics or if I should go directly to see Dr. Crisler to get my hormones fixed.

.

.

I would maybe try and get an advice only consult with Crisler solonjk and maybe you could try hcg. I had shrinkage while on (I think a little bit anyway, on my last run) and definitely off the stuff, haven’t really changed since. Initially had mild pain as they shrunk. Not very small but noticeably smaller to me. I think a couple of guys have reported increasing size via hcg.

Are there Greek bodybuilding sites where they discuss hcg and where to get it? I know what you mean about eunuchoid, it fucking sucks, and I feel especially stupid as I was the other side of 30 when I was taking it for a slightly receeding hairline. Keep going man.

have u tried HCG?
what are ur LH and FSH?

sps
