Sleep Patterns and Hormone Testing results

Just maybe to clarify my own case, and rule out alternate possibilities for my results…

I don’t sleep incredibly long hours, and I usually wake up early in the morning (between 5-6 am). I have always been this way, and I doubt that this could have been at all influenced by finasteride.

I’ve always speculated that maybe my circadian rhythm was ‘advanced’.

Would this effect hormone testing at all? I had my previous tests done at 9am (somewhat after I tend to wake up).

Could an advanced ciradian rhythm possibly effect results?

Also there’s the fact that I generally don’t sleep all that long. I rarely get more than 5-6 hours per night.

“Previous research has suggested a relationship between androgen levels and sleep in healthy young men. Androgen levels are highest after first awakening, and sleep deprivation leads to a reduction in the concentrations of circulating androgens.”

So concerning my own case, in particular, I just wonder: could my sleep pattern explain my low T?

I wake up earlier than most everyone I know, and also sleep less.

The blood test I posted on this site was taken at 9 am; I had likely been awake for 3-4 hours before the blood had been drawn, and had slept maybe 5 hours totaly that night…

Does this then mean that I should consider this number to be less than my actually morning T level?

Sleep is very unlikely to be a factor in any of this.

If you want me to explain why I could, though it isn’t very interesting.

i think not having to sleep for long hours in itself is a good sign that yr hormones aint out of wack. i need 10 hours atleast to feel human.

So anything less than 10 hours are you like an alien or zombie? or more like an animal such as giraffe or hippo?

10 hrs of sleep a must to feel human. This is interesting. What did your Dr diagnose this rare condition?

My endo diagnosed hypogonadism… btw i think this drug is doing strange things to u aswell, u may not realize it but u r showing increasing signs of gowing through puberty…
