In general no, however there are a few guys here who have ongoing issues from taking SP extract in concentrated form. SP operates as a 5AR inhibitor albeit via a different mechanism than Finasteride.
yes saw palmetto can have the same effects…it too reduces DHT…albeit ffrom the same process. so doesn’t matter. Saw Palmetto is purported to have fewer side effects to help sales of the product.
saw palmetto is not FDA regulated. so its actually hit or miss if you get real stuff or if its dosed proper;y. I imagine real stuff will have the same percentage of side effects as finasteride at comparable dosages. And the fake stuff will have no side effects. TAKE IT AND RUN WITH IT!

extract create so many problems.
what about the pill form, not necessarily the extract (liquid form)? How many mg did you take daily
i took one (1) 320mg of standardized saw palmetto extract a day for two
months and then increase the the dose to two (2) 320 mg extract a day
for about 8 months (more or less, can not remember the months)
before hit by sides effects.
why would it make a difference
the liquid would be more easily absorbed but may also be prone to oxidation (degradation) but they both contain the same compounds
I just thought the liquid form would be more potent, easily absorbed and be more apt to cause side effects…
