Aromatase inhibitors. They are used in order to reduce estrogen. Really sad to hear this. RIP.
RIP mate. I owe a lot to him as he really did help in my darkest hour where I had all but given up.

Very sorry to hear this. His case was an unusually difficult one. From what I read of his posts, he was a very intelligent guy. RIP and condolences to his family.

I was only talking to him about a week ago.
I thought he would of lasted alot longer.
When you read his post on AIs you come away with the conclusion that what really screwed him up to the degree that suicide was his only option were these estrogen blockers. All i can say is that this case is a warning to stay natural until we understand PFS.

Yes, probably the best advice that can be given with the current knowledge of PFS is DO NOT TAKE ANY MEDICINE/HORMONE/STRANGE SUPPLEMENTS to try to cure PFS, as in many cases this has made things much much worse. What seems clear right now is that many of the PFS sufferers have terrible reactions when they try to treat PFS with hormones or other drugs (apparently very different reactions to those of healthy people). We seem to have a really vulnerable body.

I’m very sad to hear about this too. I watched his video and it’s obvious that he’s an intelligent and decent guy who had a lot to live for.

What do we know about the extent of his Spiro usage? Based on my experiences with a similar drug I can say that it is vastly more disruptive than Saw Palmetto and I think it is much more likely to blame for his PFS.
He only used it topically I am not sure if that makes much of a difference. But he had full PFS, nothing else deletes a mans libido apart from these kinds of drugs.
Re : The video he made - he made this video before he realised that a multivitamin he took after getting off Saw Palmetto tablets also contained a small amount Saw Palmetto.So he was taking SP for longer than he stated, i think up to two years almost.The initial problems were from the SP, made worse by estrogen blockers.

Shocked to be reading that he’s gone.
Michael was full of energy, a big character and a frequent poster on both Propeciahelp and Solvepfs.
He gave everything he had to getting cured and tried so many different methods along with helping many others with his time and research.
It’s really sad that inorder to get peace from PFS one feels that they have no other option but to take their own life, it really sums up how devastating this condition is.

He was so young. This is so tragic. I hope this post is not inappropriate or breaches any protocols here. Its unfortunate also that if his parents knew more, they may have directed donations to this cause and they also may not be aware of the fundraiser in Dougmich’s name.

i almost took SP after quitting fin. thank god i didnt.
can anyone consider this PFS? this guy avoided fin but got PFS from SP.
Functionally yes it was PFS, because SP is a 5AR blocker.
