Propecia & Testosterone

Hi everyone,

I stopped using FIN after 2 weeks due to the common symptoms. I just wanted to say, great forum, very informative!

I have a few questions that may have already been answered or seem stupid…but I just can’t wrap my head around them.

Is it correct to assume that while using FIN, testosterone levels will rise, due to less testosterone being converted in to DHT? If this is the case, why do men with FIN syndrome go on TRT (Testosterone replacement therapy)? If the side effects of FIN continue to presist even after stopping, shouldn’t their testosterone levels continue to stay up? Essentially, why do testosterone levels fall after using FIN?

Also, why is it recommended that blood tests be done to consider testosterone levels prior to the use of FIN? Again, is this related to potentially reduced testosterone levels after stopping FIN?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, Test levels rise on fin due to the reason stated. Your body over time can respond by lowering the overall amount of Test produced rather than keeping it at the artificially higher level. When you go off fin there is nothing keeping the test levels artificially high.

it’s recommended to get a baseline so when you come off you know what you were prior to taking fin. The doctors should also recommend regular testing while on fin, but of course the best recommendation is to never take this awful poison…
