So I have been explaining to my friend my condition, he was on finasteride for a few years, he has obsessive thoughts, anxiety, depression, but he couldn’t understand my condition or that his was from finasteride. He is what I call “Stage 1 PFS,” still has enough 5AR activity to respond to normal testosterone esters.
I asked him if his obsessive thoughts, his anxiety and panic occurred before he took finasteride, he said “no, never!” He has been on testosterone, so he is familiar with estrogen and hormones, and I explained that finasteride damages the 5AR system and causes low DHT and DHT is an irreversible suicide inhibitor of estrogen. DHT kills estrogen, and that he has possibly a form of brain damage, as he said “but I quit it,” I explained to him that this is damage.
He would have NEVER known had I not explained it to him, how many other guys out there have depression, anxiety, and all these problems and never will link it to Finasteride? I never did, I was on Finasteride for 13 years, you never link it till you suffer that intense estrogen dominance attack (aka pfs crashes). The numbers I suspect are HUGE, I have trouble believing that any guy who took finasteride did not suffer some form of damage that perhaps they recovered from or did not.
Not to mention he has low testosterone, his father doesn’t, my dad doesn’t, my dad never took finasteride, his dad just started! How many guys do you know who have taken finasteride, or are on it, but don’t have the same level of PFS as we do, but perhaps have depression, anxiety etc?
I have often wondered the same thing. How many elderly men have taken Proscar for their prostate issues and now are suffering PFS. If they question why are they feeling that way, they are automatically told it is part of getting old.
Justquitdut- I completely agree with you. I think every single person has been affected. Whether someone just loses night time and am erections, to anxiety etc. I have one friend who took it years ago as well, he says Lately he doesn’t feel horny anymore but not horrible. Dr said he had really low testo.
I agree, there are probably lots of people who have effects but have not made the connection.
One way to test this would to research a large sample of patient files, for the men who took finasteride but who later went onto to develop other conditions (choose whatever condition you are researching). Adjust the data to take into account any other factors which could affect the results. I would bet you find an increased number of men with erectile dysfunction, low-T problems, etc, etc, after taking finasteride.
he has already been on HRT, he doesn’t have PFS like us, same as you nopecia, I don’t know why you still hang around here when one injection of test would change your life and you would never look back. The point is, Fin damaged him, not as bad as us, but I bet everyone on Fin is damaged in some way and doesn’t know it.
I am interested in the depression and anxiety aspect, how many of those guys would feel better after taking an AI, this shit causes neuroestrogen dominance. We could rally a lot more people to our cause if we got this info out, rather than focusing on ED or sexual problems, but creating another site or section for just the anxiety and depression and emotional problems. Most guys don’t realize they have low T and if they do they think it is due to old age, I know, I was in the biz. Even my friend who has it from T didn’t think much about that, but the emotional problems did hit home since he didn’t have them pre-fin.
He has been on and off testosterone, his wife doesn't like him on it, it makes him want too much sex, he takes testosterone boosters and prohormones and stuff. You are a very nice guy nopecia, but you don't have stage 2 pfs, you have enough 5ar activity to respond to testosterone. If you did not, you would have felt a neuroestrogen dominance attack (aka pfs crash) from being on tribulus. Instead you had only improvements and no neuroestrogen dominance attack.
Boy I wish I was back at stage 1 pfs so I could just take since a week test injection and not need as much AI. Go enjoy your life and stop wasting your time here, I say this out of love.
I’m heading to see my doctor next week to see his opinion before I proceed.
Maybe he can prescribe what I need who knows. Any advice on what to say? In easy terms
Ie can you tell me that to say so he understands what is wrong with me and what exactly you believe will help. He is a great doctor so I think he would support me if he can.
If you don’t have PFS you can improve with testosterone Gel (don’t even need injections), just let him know that you got screwed over by finasteride and you read testosterone has helped other guys recover. Before I got to stage 2 PFS test reversed my problems, that’s all you need. You don’t need any special protocol, just TRT or HRT (whatever they call it over there).
Just go on, I never met a guy who would ever willingly quit lol, you don't have stage 2 pfs, just stage 1, im pretty sure, once you go on like many who go on my prop protocol, we won't hear from you again lol. Gel sucks, when I was stage 1 before I took avodart, I went on the gel, it was easy for me to move to injections as they were so much better.
You stay on test as long as you want, testosterone is healthy and prevents a lot of diseases, having low testosterone causes a lot of diseases. That’s why problems occur to men when they are older with declining levels vs younger with high levels.
Did you mean to write gel sucks? So perhaps after I’ve tried gel I could move up to injections? One more question I was gonna ask privately but might as well ask here, does testosterone help gainz at gym?
If you go on testosterone injections and work out at the gym you will have a body like models you see or hunky guys, gel kinda helps in that area but not like injections. It will change the way you look and make you more attractive to the opposite sex or same sex whatever, makes your jaw bigger and your face fuller of muscle, it changed my life till pfs hit. That's why I fought so hard to figure out how to get it to work with pfs.
lol thanks, that would actually be amazing. I’ll start with the gel because I’m apprehensive about injecting myself, as I’m sure many others will be. I was watching Pulp Fiction tonight and admiring Bruce Willis’ facial bone structure and strong body. He doesn’t need hair, looks better without.
When I started testosterone I couldn't figure out why all of a sudden girls were chasing me, I thought it was just my body, but it changed my face too, builds muscles in your face and makes you look more masculine, but the gel isn't enough to do that but injections are, Fortesta will help your situation a lot though
Cool. My lingering worry is shutting down my own Testosterone production and becoming dependent. Have to be honest I feel about 10-20% better on tribulus after two weeks of it.
