Penis completely shrivels up when having a bowel movement/urge

Same here

I suspect this might be natural (see: the bulbocavernosus reflex), but I never noticed it until I took fin and Iā€™ve only ever seen people on pfs forums talk about.

I have the same my suffermate! The good news is my penis became healthy looking and feeling again , and orgasm pleasure also somewhat back so these minutes before crap dont effect my mind anymoreā€¦

Would be happy to understand why we developed this shit after fin. Def some blood circulation issue

Sounds like classic hard flaccid symptom - a form of pelvic floor dysfunction. I get this too and many others with HF. Its not exclusive to PSSD/PFS/PAS. Many men get pelvic floor dysfunction for a lot of different reasons that causes shriveled up penis. Look into hard flaccid / pevlic floor dysfunction and maybe try stretching and doing PT.

Does it sound like a pelvic floor problem?

  1. Penis in flaccid state is shorter and the core of it is hard/harder than before 90% of the time.
  2. Occasional dull discomfort near the base of penis.
  3. Erections are a lot worse.
  4. Sensitivity in the head of penis is similar to pre fin, a little/moderate less sensitive shaft.

Thank you.

Yes it does - look into ā€œHard Flaccidā€ - its been discussed a lot of this site - just use that as a key phrase to search through the posts.

But how finasteride can cause this problem?

Not exactly clear at the moment but something is probably disrupting the smooth muscle contractions. Its usually linked to anxiety and the bodyā€™s ability to relax or stay in a tense state. Also, fascia and muscle tension come into play. But this is more common then you would think - even plenty of guys get this from lifting in gym, trying to make penis longer, sexual injury, certain meds or steroids, even weed. Its a complex issue and no one knows for sure why - stretching and maybe a low inflammation diet could help

I need to find some physio to check me from the outside and inside.

Yes exactly - find a pelvic floor specialist who is familiar with hard flaccid (not all of them are - a lot are use to just working with woman). Find one that has worked with plenty of men too. And they will access you and tell you if ur pelvic floor is tight etc

The thing is im worried that if i have mental sides too then the cause can be hard to find by physio :frowning:

Addressing the pelvic floor problems is not addressing the root cause - I wouldnt go into that with them as they will have no idea what PFS is. This is just about symptoms management. Of course keep looking for ways to get better from PFS and that should in turn help the pelvic stuff. hope that makes sense - i wrote this quickly - I am not giving you any advice - just telling you that if u have a tight pelvic floor then a physio might be able to provide some relief - but yes I agree that it is not addressing the root cause - but there is no proven cure yet for pfs

Yeah yeah i know i wont mention pfs. But need to go there as self diagnose i think is not possible. Cant know if i have tight pelvic.

I donā€™t think Iā€™ve gotten back to normal as in before Fin but this symptom for me has definitely gotten better over time but he started getting better when I actively tried relaxing my pelvic floor through mental and physical exercises or relaxation techniques if you will.

I believe Fin among many things induced a stressful environment mentally and physically
So part of the problem is a tightened pelvic floor and I think cause some kind of dysfunction.
Blood flow, relaxation of muscle and mind
Not saying itā€™s a cute but it sure is worth a shot and may very well help the symptom.

Also
Disclaimer (not recommending you do it. You do what you think you should with a doctors help) The health of my penis increased when I did TRT. More bloodblow, it regained more size as a result of blood flow. More color.
I just think the hormones helped build up and repair down there.

I really just went with what I thought would help me and it didā€¦that and time. Many MANY bad days but thankfully Iā€™m doing ok
Not spectacular but Iā€™m managimg

It gets better

What about applying topical DHT on penis? What would be the result? This and physiotherapy should do the trick or it is dangerous/wrong?

@devils342 You could have a hormone test. If your hormones are fine and you react badly to androgenic supplements, you may have the androgen receptor issue in theory. Do your phisiotherapy or whatnot if you want, i doubt it will ā€œcureā€ you. It only can ā€œhelpā€ you to fix the root issue.

It should be noted that if this were something which was as simple a process as Cooper suggests, weā€™d have more recoveries.

Youā€™ve been banned before for telling people how to fix themselves, yet you havenā€™t fixed yourself?

I hope you are aware that im on Proviron. Taking risks while you guys waiting there for a miracle study to occur and save us. If more people did try that 200mg protocol, we might have already found a cure or had extensive understanding of PFS already.
How many people tried so far 4? And one is actually reporting moderate improvements. Good luck with your waiting game Greek.

Good luck with your experiment @Cooper. I hope you donā€™t end up worse-off after already having a bad reaction to tribulus.

No sarcasm intended.

For the record, some of us are working very hard in different ways toward making that miracle study happen some day. It wonā€™t be tomorrow. Donā€™t disparage us, as we try not to disparage those who are driven to self experimentation and sharing their results, while refraining from trying to push this sometimes harmful idealogy onto others.

It has been made very clear in the past that one of the major goals of this siteā€™s existence is to encourage scientific investigation of post-drug conditions and that members reporting of results from self-experimentation was simply allowed to exist here.

I am pretty sure you are right mate. Since getting PFS Iā€™ve had a lot of hard flaccid symptoms unfortunately.

I have tried TRT. My bloodwork have always showed high T so I had to more or less force my doctors into prescribing me it. It didnā€™t do anything unfortunately and I was on it for 15 months so I think I gave it a fair bit of time to ā€œworkā€ā€¦
