Doesn’t Efavirenz only inhibit the HIV reverse transcriptase? this wouldn’t be of any help since we don’t have HIV.

I know its a controversial opinion but I don’t believe “HIV” causes AID$ their are a number of nobel prize winners who share this view.

when I first crashed with pfs among other things that went through my mind when I didn’t know what was happening to me I thought I had aids and got checked out straight away,no sex drive and flu like symptoms etc etc…

Everytime I am really thinking about PFS, I come to this thread. From what I understand about our situation, this is closer to the solution, than everything else discussed on this board.
I tried a ton of different things, but nothing seems to cure my condition.
My point of view is that we are not able to handle androgens anymore. And my conclusion is that something that restores androgen signaling could help us and may be our fix.
I can`t get this idea out of my head and I would try nevirapine. But I could not get it. Because in Germany the customs would stop it, so no generic distributor is abel to send it to me!
What do you guys think about it? Am I wrong? Is it stupid cause it is a HIV treatment? Are you guys in US able to get this kind of medication?
I think we are soon going to learn that poor androgen functioning is a symptom rather than a cause of a greater problem which is poor gene expression. Just my opinion
As I’m (also) HIV-positiv, I’m taking Nevirapin for more than 10 years as part of my 3-parts anti-HIV-medication.
I stopped finasterid just 4 weeks ago after having taken it for more than 19 years.
I’m wondering now how quickly I restored some of my sexual disorders (ejaculation for example).
Could it be that the nevirapine I take 2 times per day since years has (partially?) saved me against the endocrinologic disorders produced by the finasterid?
Does some other HIV patient take nevirapin?
Any comments on that topic?
Very interesting. It seems that you have no luck in life. It is really hard to understand your condition by reading in the internet.
Because you are only 4 Weeks of finasterid, a Natural recovery of your Fin sides seems to be possible. And it is Not sure you have pfs.
Still your improvement seems to be interesting and well theoretical it is possible that nevaripine prevent pfs our cure it. I dont know.
