My personal recovery

Finatruth,
Good to see someone improving on sexual front?

How were you doing sexually before? was it totally not functional (Zero Libido and 100% erectile dysfunction)??

and Could you also tell me about the T values that u have currently?

I am going on 9 months post crash. Sexually, I’ve been Sensing some blips in libido. Not a full return, but porn is starting to get my attention again … not sure if I should be dabbling in that right now, but I want to. I really used porn a lot pre crash. Post crash, porn has not been that interesting (until lately). Since crashing, I’ve had good sex with my wife once or twice a month, but then followed up by low to no libido and significant ED. I guess like you, my low points aren’t as low as the early months, but I’m by no means out of the woods. My sleep (my worst non-sexual side), while better, is still not great. Much better than before, but just last night I only got about 4-5 hours, not good. Also like you, I’m getting more frequent nocturnals, but not consistent.

Thanks for asking and keep up your improvements.

Great to see that improvement.

Just curious to know how are you doing sexually?

What is the purpose of SHBG? What should be the normal range of it?

My understanding is SHBG is a protein that is produced by the liver and binds to T as a hormone transportation mechanism. Thus, the higher the SHBG, the less free or bio available T in the bloodstream. My endo says there’s no way to lower SHBG, but I’ve read where Arimidex will bind to it, thus freeing more T. I’m by no means an expert however.

OhioGuy,

I have seen your initial profile which has shown your T as 208 and now it is in the 500s. Its quite an improvement. Could you tell me if you have done something to achieve this.

My doctor here prescribed me Testogel, I have used it for 15 days which pushed my T level to 450s and gave me some energy and stopped muscle atrophy.

Now, I am scared whether I need to continue this forever, I stopped taking the gel for the last 3 days and now I started getting muscle weakness. Wondering, how you managed this period and how did you boost your T levels.

Happy to hear that your sexual sides are improving.

The 208 number was taken by a general practitioner MD at 3:00 pm. I’ve learned that T needs to be tested no later than 8:00 am, since T peaks in the early morning and declines throughout the day. Needless to say I was less than impressed with this doctor who prescribed my with TRT gel, based on this one test. I will say I am greatfull for this board, since I learned that TRT may not be the answer to our specific issues. I never went on it. As far as my sexual sides go, it’s really hit or miss. I can have sex one night, than ED for several weeks. It’s just very random.

Good luck to you on getting better.

So, did you have any muscle twitching with low T?

Yes. The twitching came in around month 2 or 3, post crash. It’s still with me, but to a lesser degree. If anything, it’s an annoyance, but not the worst side I experienced due to this condition.

Hi guys,

The general line has been kind of lost here.
But I did some more digging about my past and drew up a time table for my recovery and what I was doing.
I believe a link between sports and recovery.

The period that I started beach volleyball and all my muscles were in pain and my heart kept pumping was my biggest shift from what I remember. and then when I started to build muscles and eat a lot of red meat which I avoided for years.
If it helps anyone, try it. Can’t hurt.

If you believe this false post then you’re all insane.
StartingOver - You forgot your username AND password?! C’mon.

If your story is real, I’m volunteering to meet you in person.

FAKE.

definitely there is link between Wheat product and feeling worse but don’t know how? Ever since I stopped eating Wheat I feel a lot better, sometimes 80%.

How long after cutting out Wheat did you start to notice improvements? And were the improvements mental, sexual, or both?

Let me rephrase you:
“I am finding your story interesting, but hard to believe. I would like to meet you in order to confirm it is true”. This is how civilized people speak.
I understand your frustration, as I’ve been there, but you can’t always assume all people are evil and come to get you. I shared many intimate things here, and I feel embarrassed about it, but I felt it’s what I can do if it helps anyone. So please take into consideration that I am a person as well, and respect it.

Having said this, I am back in Tel Aviv in about two weeks, and I’m willing to meet you. send me a private message.

Congrats on your recovery. I’m interested in your story - pretty amazing. I’m curious if this meeting took place. And if so, what was said?

No meeting took place…

I came back because I was thinking of an alternative explanation to my recovery that I thought of.
About a year before my recovery I had a horrible knee inflammation. I tried some anti inflammatory medications that did not work.
Then I tried a combo of quercetin and bromolain.

I did not think of this at the time, but lately read that quercetin may affect prostate function, and I know that part of my recovery was feeling the prostate grow.

Did anyone else try Quercetin here?

Israeli, sorry but you are a tembel.
Why are you popping up now??
I offered to meet when I was in Israel. but you disappeared.

I do not really need to deal with your bad energy, keep it with yourself.
I was not lying about anything, and I am willing to meet anyone here who lives in the Bay Area.

I don’t know why I am so annoyed right now, but I just find it is not worth being honest and posting here anymore.
My offer stands as for someone in the bay area.
But why come back and share if all I get is attacks…
I was just trying to help think what could have helped me and why I got out of it, but if noone believes my story and every post here gets bad reactions, I am giving up. I healed. Hope your guys heal as well in the future.
good luck.

for some reason I saw Israeli’s comment from the post as if it was posted again today.
Ignore my last message. my bad

So just back to the main point I posted this evening.
The best explanations for my recovery are time and good diet and exercise.
It took many years.

But the fact I took quercetin/bromolain complex so close to the recovery start is interesting.
I read online it can affect prostatitis.
I do not remember what I took, or quantity. I think I only used it for 2 weeks.

Just my two cents. maybe will help someone.

Hi StartingOver,

Can I ask what PFS sides you had ?

It’s all in my former comments, just read the beginning of this thread.
