Member "Almostcured" - 15 year recovery story

Thanks for the reply, can you point out what increased your T Level,
Vitamin D and probiotics?.

I took vit D supplements- 8000 iu/day
the probiotic was called “prescript” and it can be bought on Amazon. I think last year it was recalled cause it has some legume based ingredients that werent listed but its perfectly safe as far as I know.
As far as T is concerned, I think it was mostly just time. I didnt do anything to target T specifically but I think that fasting and abstinence gave me short term spikes. I think cumulatively, those surges may have helped over time.

Sorry guys. Im not English native.
What does it mean PMO?
Thank you!!

P-Porn
M-Masturbation
O-Orgasm

Yeah, it is torture and I never made it past week 3. But I always felt like it helped. If you have a habit of watching porn and you dont even masturbate, that sounds like a stimulus your brain is demanding even independent of libido. I think that is definitely an argument for removing it from your life for a while. See how you feel. You may find it harder and harder to abstain and I think thats always a good sign.

So just to summarize:

  • No PMO
  • supplement with B complex, Fish oil, Magnesium, Zinc, vit C, Vit D, L arginine
  • probiotics
  • juice fasts
  • resting the body (no workout stress)

That’s it?

Thank you very much for your time.

After 7 years I am agreeing with you that the brain is a big factor. I always thought it was the nerves and blood vessels in the penis and the greater region. Is it known the specific mental problems that are caused by finesteride? I do not mean symptoms, I mean actually mechanisms and pathways that are impaired in the brain. I will try targeting those pathways/mechanisms specifically to heal them. Cheers

!!!
Dear God, why are you punishing me so much?!

In my wholly worthless opinion I think people who are prone to pfs already have sensitive androgen receptors so they’re more likely to be obsessed with porn and masturbation. Not the other way around.

Alternatively, the pornography isn’t related.

Or it was a correlation with a particular type of person at a genetic level.

Looking at pornography doesn’t directly equate. Genetic predisposition is not going to be dictated by looking at naked people.

Some of what you said sounds right.

His recovery plan makes total sense from my own perspective:

  • No PMO: TO ELEVATE DOPAMINE
  • supplement with B complex, Fish oil, Magnesium, Zinc, vit C: THESE MOSTLY HELP WITH REDUCING INFLAMMATION.
*Vit D: INCREASE T IF DEFICIENT (THINK T:E2 RATIO)
L arginine: PROMOTES NO & HGH
  • probiotics: IMMUNE SYSTEM MODULATION & HELP CORRECT GUT DYSBIOSIS (THINK SEROTONIN)
  • juice fasts (DETOXING & INCREASES T & DOPAMINE)
  • resting the body (no workout stress): LOWER PHYSICAL STRESS & HENCE “INFLAMMATION”.

That said, he’s waited a long time. PFS is like an umbrella for many illnesses with similar symptoms. Everyone should get a bloodwork first and go from there.

I FUCKING HAVE THIS!

It’s scary how I look like you. Before crash: hyper hyper hyper addicted to porn, depressed, anxious … Now, I have the same symptoms as you said, but the most peculiar of them are these tissues under the skin of the penis that become prominent, as if they were calcification (peyronie), but they are not calcification. Perhaps it is in fact some allergic reaction of the corpora cavernosa. I’ve always tried here to find people with these lumps on the penis (as if they were symmetrical but tight lines on the left), but people here have everything but not that.

People here ridiculed you, but your report was one of the best I’ve ever read. In my humble opinion (with all due respect), probiotics accounted for 70% of your recovery, and the rest went from nofap. However, I do not doubt that a long time without ejaculating and watching porn arouses some positive dopamine feedback and changes our genetic level, because the need for sex is our instinct and is in our DNA. Can I PM you for more infos?

Does yours come and go? Where exactly is located?

Mine is located under the skin of my penis. It has so far not disappeared and reappeared. It has always been there. I have been with this for 7 months (time of my PFS).

By the way, I would like to know if the OP also had totally soft erections, as well as the extremely soft flaccid state.

Near the base?

Near the base and also in the middle of the shaft.

ICE see you are from Sweden. I am also a PFS sufferer for many years. Do you know of any good doctors in Sweden?

Unfortunately no. I doubt there is a doctor in Sweden that can help with PFS at the moment. Last time I visited a doctor for PFS he looked at me like I was crazy.
