It’s unlikely your metabolism causing the problem. Probably just estrogen dominance which promotes fat gain rather than muscle. That’s an oversimplification but you get the idea. Work out more and eat better is what you should do.
i am already doing that.
most of my fat is in the belly, and that also wasn’t the case before, i am only 25 years old.
Do intermittent fasting with an eating window of 4 to 6 hours, you’ll lose all your extra weight in a couple of days. In my case, I could see there was a difference after my crash with weight gain, but I managed not to gain so much weight with all the training I was doing. But for instance I had jeans that were tight to a point it could be a bit uncomfortable. After I began intermittent fasting, I couldn’t wear them anymore without a belt because they would fall halfway down my ass.
Now, I’m trying to gain weight to do a week of water fasting, but it’s actually hard because I don’t feel like eating outside my usual eating window, which is more between 6 and 8 hours now. You can adjust the window to the weight you want to have. For me, a four hour eating window with healthy eating and the gym was making me too thin.
what do you mean eating window? i never heard about something like that.
man do not listen to nonsense. Test your body temp. if its lower than 36,6C then your metabolism is impaired due to fin. You could do a bmr test to see how much it is impaired. I had the same problem as i saw fat increasing (at the same fat deposits, if it was estrogen related the fat would be accumulated in your breast and hips), and i found out that i was burning 250 cals less. Start taking digestive enzymes, probiotics and eat less.
By window I mean period. In that kind of intermittent fasting, the time during which you can eat will be limited to 4 hours or 6 hours, or whatever hours you want, during a 24-hour period. So lets say you start eating at noon and you stop at six. Your eating window would be of 6 hours. Outside these hours you can’t eat or drink anything with calories, although when the calories are very low it’s OK. For example, you can have coffee or tea in the morning, but without sugar or milk. Apart from weight, it would help you a lot with brain fog, energy and sleep if you have problems with these things too.
building fat instead of muscle is a sign of insulin resistance… do what exercise you can
realy? what cou;d i do about it? only exercise?
exercise is one of the best things in the world you can do for insulin resistance, start there with what you can. insulin gets released into your body when sugar is there. so the next thing you can do is kill carbs, so only eat vegetables and protein and fat (like avocados). try it for a week or two and see if it makes a difference.
i am already workout for years. and yes i will cut the carbs completly.
And my glucose is in the mild low range so i don’t think i have insulin resistance.
It was always like that since i am a kid.
