Logical theory to why some of us have immune issues...

I remember speaking to a researcher a few years ago and she mentioned to me the importance of the Androgen Receptor in immune function. I kind of shrugged it off at the time, but I just did a quick google search on "androgen receptor immune”. Plenty of studies confirm the following…

Turns out the AR is very important in regulating the immune system and fighting off invaders. Makes me a little more certain that maybe I have AR silencing. If AR isn’t being activated correctly (is silenced), then our immune systems are not able to regulate effectively.

“Upon insult, such as infection or tissue injury, the innate and adaptive immune systems initiate a series of responses to defend the body. Recent studies from immune cell-specific androgen receptor (AR) knockout mice demonstrated that androgen and its receptor (androgen/AR) play significant roles in both immune regulations. In the innate immunity, androgen/AR is required for generation and proper function of neutrophils; androgen/AR also regulates wound healing processes through macrophage recruitment and proinflammatory cytokine production. In adaptive immunity, androgen/AR exerts suppressive effects on development and activation of T and B cells. Removal of such suppression causes thymic enlargement and excessive export of immature B cells. Altogether, androgen/AR plays distinct roles in individual immune cells, and targeting androgen/AR may help in treatment and management of immune-related diseases.”

Check out the first page of a simple google search and you will find plenty of easy to understand studies confirming this.

So all this talk about auto-immunity and immune issues, seems to be a symptom rather than a cause of PFS (assuming we do indeed have a silenced AR gene).

Infection antibody results I have had: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7364

How would a gene be silenced many guys took fin for years with minimal side effects then one day something broke and they got PFS. Seems impossible that the genes in billions of cells would all change at the same time? Seems more like gene expression is changed due to some kind of systemic imbalance of chemicals/hormones.

it doesnt change in the moment of the crash, it changes during the drug or during withdrawal, but you will only see the effects later. A normal person has a lot of hidden genetic diseases, why do they only show up one day and not fromthe beginning of life? Many people for example , with autoimmune conditions are ok, then one day boom, they get hit hard. Do you think its because that day Billions of cells changed the genome at the same time, in harmony, to create disease??? All the issues were already there before, imprinted!
In a much simpler example, but still the same principle becaise this is how the human body works, you dont develop clogged arteries when you have a heart attack lol they were developing prior, due to some issue you have, genetic or lifestyle…then one day you die from heart attack. Its not because all the trillions of cells in ur arteries decided to clog everything all of a sudden!! Lol

You clearly have no idea how genetics work in the body. Something as simple as exercise causes 500+ epigenetic changes in “one billion cells” at the same time. Before you start making claims like this you need basic understanding of genetics.

I am sure this theory has evolved since August of 2010, but here was the original blueprint for it.

This makes sense. From my experience I can say that abstaining from masturbation/not having sex helps most with downregulating the AR. This also helps with fixing thyroid problems (eg. cold hands). Doing this since 2 months and I limit myself to 1 orgasm a week.

Here’s a very simple article of finasteride and genes, for those that don’t understand it. These are the first 3 articles to show up on google after typing in finasteride effect on genes. But there are so so many more
genetics.thetech.org/ask/ask219
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19508332
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10589774 - very interesting one

This one on watery semen from finasteride
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21292254

Finasteride changes the expression very very quickly, and those with MTHFR mutations or other sucecptibility to AR’s drastic effect on gene transcription, are more prone to develop side effects.

For me, I had no symptoms at all on the drug, only once I quit did I develop symptoms and that was 2 weeks after I quit, that I just crashed with severe brain damage while I was driving

Theres many drug where a lot of the eoigenetic changes occur during wothdrawal period. Maybe fin is one of them
