*list your underlying health issues*

Nothing here either.

Nothing. A1 perfect health. Never a day off school, never a day off work.

(Edit: Dandruff - now cured by Propecia!)

Golf you should consider restructuring this thread using the POLL tool so people can vote, ie:

"Before Finasteride:

  • Yes, I had a prediagnosed health condition
  • No, I had no prior diagnosed health issues."
    [/quote]
i dont know how - go for it.

I have read through my medical records and finasteride(propecia) was the first prescription medicine i have ever had.

Nothing apart from NSU (Simple Urinary Tract infection) years ago.

Before fin: Hypersexual
Post fin: Hyposexual

Nothing.

Most of us had no health issues and a lot of us were in fact athletic, athletes, and/or tending toward hypersexual. If there were underlying health issues that caused PFS they would have been found by now, just as if diet and exercise were cures we wouldn’t be here.

I only had mild seb dermatitis on the face and scalp at some points in my late teens. Was given creams but it seemed to go away on its own.

Never on a run of prescription drugs in my life before fin. In some ways I wish I was as I would probably been wise enough to not self medicate without a doc’s supervision.

Golf has not said that underlying health issues caused PFS so why are you going off on one of your pathetic rants?

I for one am very interested to see that users suffered serious health issues before PFS, i.e. epilepsy, CFS. Keep the replies coming.

mew - you have mentioned in the past you had seb dermatitis as well. not “nothing”
luckfax - i highly doubt you NEVER took a prescription. never even had the flu?

again, our condition is the fault of finasteride.
I am not trying to pass the blame onto us - however, we MUST have something in common that all those who recover do not - could be genetic, perhaps not. until we have more definitive genetic testing available, we can at least see if their is a common factor.

No I hardly ever got the flu and if I did I took otc remedies.

I said a run of prescription medicine, as in taking anti-depressants, allergy drugs or something for weeks or months on end. I had never been reliant on medicine for more than a couple of days before this. I never even considered finasteride as medicine, just a hairloss remedy.

I was allergic to penicillin as a child, can’t even remember why I was given it. Of course I got the usual stuff like measles which most kids get. 99% of the western world will have taken prescription drugs at some point in their lives.

No offence but maybe because you had some health difficulties you are thinking that the rest of us also must have?

Uk20, fuck off. Don’t respond or post about anything I write. I have no interest in arguing with someone stupid enough to think they can cure finasteride poisoning with finasteride. You are on this board way too much as other members have already suggested. You have a post count of 933 at the time I write this and you joined feb 2, 2011. This is approximately 3.8 posts PER DAY. Compared to MEW, who has been tracked since 2006, you have an average post count per day that DOUBLES his 1.99 post per day average, who is the second highest on this board.

For me I don’t think saying “no underlying health issues” really covers it. I would never even catch colds and people would routinely guess I was 10 years younger than my actual age. I could be around an office full of people with the flu and never get a sniffle. The fact that this drug could destroy my health is really scary.

Martin is 100% correct. I was type A personality, always athletic from puberity well into adulthood and definately hypersexual to the point of some risky behavior. Muscle mass would pack on very easily and would stay even if I skipped the gym for a month or two. He is spot on. I’ve met many other members who described themselves similarly.

Exact same as me basically. Especially the immunity part. Crazy.

I would describe myself as that too. Always had a six pack, decent overall muscle tone. Had a lot of sex from 15, and yeah, risky behavior their in terms of where.

I will add myself to the list of people who fit this description. I was very athletic, great muscle tone (and easily acquired), hypersexual, etc. I’d also add to the list that I was diagnosed with ADD (someone else earlier mentioned this), and also had a bout with depression in college, and took an antidepressant for it.

Same as mentioned by others- very successful athlete, always very muscular (considered a freak by friends bc I could eat whatever I wanted and didn’t lift weights to get or maintain size) Never even took tylenol, absolutely never got sick. ADD and ADHD since I was young (unmedicated though). Very advanced hairloss at a young age. To say I was hypersexual is an understatement.

I had CFS and a weak immune system. Spent some years out of the work force.

Was always a Type A, high achiever. I achieved a ton before 30.

I’m surprised you guys never had any health issues pre pfs.

I think someone mentioned that fin was the first drug they EVER took. Incredible!

I know a few guys have mentioned CFS. Just thought I would post this

It would be good if people could still add to this thread.

No pre-existing conditions. Just like many others here I was a great athlete in every sport I played. Rarely got sick. I did have mono 1.5 years prior to my crash, but was 100% fine and the mono wasnt that bad.

My 23andMe genetic tests shows hundreds of “disease risk”, “carrier status”, “health traits”, and “drug response” but I do not want to clog this thread with all that info.
