Yesterday brought pins and needles throughout the day! This was on top of all of the usual stuff. Cold limbs crept on as the day progressed. Then I lost the feeling in my feet and toes! I woke at 2am covered in sweat feeling as though my life was under threat. From getting up this morning I’ve felt very low with suicidal thoughts any ideas what’s caused this? Something I are potentially, anyone else get this?

So what did you eat before this episode?
Bran flakes with fermented yoghurt, salad consisting of onions green bell peppers, beef, radishes, wholemeal bread with butter, a protein shake “all my usual stuff” for tea I had two slices of quiche with potatoes! And naughtily part of my son’s Easter egg. (Milk chocolate) the quiche and egg were eaten 5ish but the symptoms were climbing prior to this. The severity of them through the night and today have been quite disturbing
My first guess would the chocolate. There have been a number of guys posting about getting symptoms from chocolate, I have felt horrible after eating some also especially the cheap bulk barn stuff so I avoid it. Check on the bell peppers, tea and radishes, many plant sterols are 5AR inhibitors. Learn from this! while you are experiencing these symptoms, realize they will pass eventually, make a note of these foods and the approx time of consumption and when the symptoms kicked in. If you can try an elimination diet for a few days. What I did was steak x3, sea salt and water for 4-5 days… Then start to introduce other foods one by one and check on any symptoms after at least 24 hours. With this method I have seemed to have controlled my cognitive/depressive symptoms enough that I feel ok. My safe list so far?.. Beef (hormone free), Steel Cut Oatmeal, Raw Unpasturised Honey, which seems to improve libido for some reason, Apples, Fish (wild haddock or cod) I stay away from sugar, any pre-packaged foods, MSG and bread makes me feel Ill and creates brain fog. The only snack I have occasionally are Organic Salted Corn Tortillas they seem to be relatively clean. I hope to expand my list, especially in the vegetable area. Good Luck !
Cheers for the tips mate, honey was great for me for one night slept like a baby, awoke with an erection. 2nd night it fell apart so I’ve stayed off it since then. I’ll try the steaks etc thanks again
This sort of thing really gets to me. Why just one day?! Sorry to hear you didn’t get further help from honey.
Perhaps other foods degraded the benefits? that’s why a food diary is important…
It would be good if a significant number of people here were prepared to record their diet, sleep, and sexual activity for a month (or longer) and take it seriously.
If we could get a reasonable number of people here to all eat the same diet and record their results as they went along then have the same people change to something else we might find something interesting out.
Excellent idea. I think using a shared online google spreadsheet could standardize the metrics we want to collect and make it easy for members to update…
It’s probably more important that we get enough people who are prepared to take part rather than work out the methodology.
I will say it would imagine it would be better if everyone didn’t have access to all the results, it would avoid the risk of tampering.
