Take a look at the studies I posted to you earlier, it’s not us saying this stuff, it’s researchers themselves.

I mean it when I say that I’m actually genuinely confused about what someone stands to gain by coming into a web forum like this and barking about everything being bullshit, since nobody’s going to be persuaded, and nobody’s going to suddenly endorse the pill because of what some threatening and confrontational stranger has to say. Pretty much 100% of the people who post here are here because they are afflicted with something, and won’t be convinced that they are NOT. People don’t come here to debate the existence of this problem, only to assist one another in figuring it out, and gather information, including clinical studies which point in the direction of their own percentages. It’s like going to a web forum for NASCAR enthusiasts and just telling them, very generally, that they are “wrong.” I’m also confused about even his general argument – that people in here have exaggerated the more-than-2% thing? Look, you want to side with Merck on this one? Go ahead, I’d probably be inclined to do the same if I had never had any side effects. You don’t want to believe that medication on the market might cause additonal suffering compared to what is listed on the label? Fine, but let’s remember that Vioxx, a medication for arthritic pain, was pulled from the market by Merck after causing heart attacks. I just honestly have no idea where the aggression comes from, and why this appears to be such a personal issue. Jesus, chill. The funny thing is, the first thing I think of when I see someone in paranoid hysterics like this is that I’d love to have a look at what his hormone profile is. I’m sure there’s something interesting going on there. Oh and Mew, don’t forget that many users of fin had been taking it without issue for years before experiencing side effects, and some even only were affected AFTER quitting, so there’s always a chance that this guy’s in for a ride.
He is angry that I post on hairlosstalk.com/interact when users complain of side effects, and I try and provide information to explain WHY that might be happening. He attributes this to fear-mongering, I attribute it to trying to help people see the light.
But if you look at his posts on that site, he is rude, antagonistic and disbeliving of nearly everyone that has ever complained of a side effect, so it’s not just directed towards me – it’s ANY Fin users that mention side effects.
i also write on an italian hairloss forum and when i talk about the permanent side effects, some user became hysterical… i’ve posted my story and a Doctor (dermatologist) who write on that forum says “there aren’t connection between finasteride and your sides; probably there was a pre-existent problem in you”.

Yea well, I’d hesitate to call a Derm a real “doctor” anyway. They are in the business of selling and prescribing products to prevent hairloss, of course they’ll deny a drug they offer doesn’t cause side effects – they want your business!
