Is pitutary problem cause or effect?

We are seeing hypthyroid fin users and some people think hypothyroidismd might be cause for our hypogonadism.It might be true but here I give story of my meighbout whome I have known for the last 10 years. He started gaining wieght in 2002 and became sluggish. He was diagnosed wtih hypothyroidism. since 2002 he has been on sythyroid. I don’t know his numbers but he must be very severely hypo because in Ottawa, Canada Doctors are very conservative. upper normal range is 5 so he must be way above 5 because I know another other person(eversince I got affected I keep getting information from people) who is 4.3 and doctor is not treating him although he is clearly hypo( sadly he has no sex at all , he told me privately, he is 60 years old)
Now comes the funny part. The first person who was hypothyroid also started using fin few months after being put on sythyroid and used fin for 4-5 months. He did not get any effects from fin. He is still on sythyroid and enjoys very good health. I see hime daily. very good health, hard working and always with warm and strong hands which once I used to have too.

Now what do you make of this? Maybe since he waw already on synthyroid that is why fin coud not do anything to this Guy?

More than likely he just isnt genetically predisposed to sexual side effects from Fin.

Some have benefited a bit from thyroid treatments, alot havn’t. For me it just exacerbated my muscle loss.

If he had no sides why just 4-5 months on Fin since all was going swimmingly why did he stop? I assume he wasnt using it for cancer treatment.

He used fin for hairloss. He stopped fin b/c of money, he did not have any insurance and was jobless. Now it is too late for him because he is completely bald.
were you hypothyroid? what was your TSH, FT4 and FT3. You know when I started SP my TSH was 1.04 or something like that and I had no sides. Now my TSH is around .65 but I have all the sides. this .65 is not the ideal?

Actually I wasnt hypo. Dr. Shippen prescribed t3 to me and one other patient as an experiment. Right now im cycling down from it. Really didnt get any benefits fromt he t3, didnt even lose weight. Basically it just seemed to amp up my anxiety level and upset my stomach.

Bradwaggoner and boston332 what were your TSH values if you guys don’t mind.
I think the example of my friend is very strong proof. He was hypo before propecia, during propecia, still hypo after propecia but healthy and very energetic. I don’t think he takes any multi vitamines either.

Honestly I don’t remember. It was about 3 years ago when I took it. My DO prescribed it, so there must have been some merit.

I will have new values in a bout 3 weeks, so I will let you know what it is now.
