Is it possible to plan for kid?

Hi,

I used Propecia for about 8 months and now after quitting it for past 7 months still I have sexual side effects. I am newly married and I am using Levitra and leading my life :frowning: Please some one let me know whether I can plan for kid or not?

I have tried almost all the supplements which was shared my Procepia help forum. Please advice.

Thanks

Yes absolutely

Why not? So long as you can function sexually to conceive
I’ve some how managed to function enough to father two healthy children post Propecia

Wishing you all the best in becoming a Daddy

Thanks THETIGERSHULL!

But I heard that the finasteride may flow through semen and may cause birth defects to male fetus.

Thanks,

That’s only on a rare possibility if one is currently taking the drug, which you are not.

What if there’s some kind of androgen insensitivity - partial or complete - that’s inherited? Would we even know before the child has reached puberty?

That is exactly what i wonder sometimes.

I think this may be overthinking are situations.

We took a DHT inhibiter that somehow tweaked are endocrine systems to no longer respond to hormones properly.

Just an educated guess but i am sure this is nothing that can be passed down through genes

Another thing that i question sometimes is if the chance of having a baby girl instead of a boy is increased in men who have taken finasteride. This is pure observation, but most of the men i know who took or take finasteride have had baby daughters.

Not necessarily… My Son is expected to be born in 4 weeks time

Long as your sperm is not too fucked and you can perform when necessary we should all aim for it - of course it’s gonna be more difficult but not impossible.
