This is basically what happened to me- mainly the libido issue. Having been on finesteride for a year, once i had quit almost straight away my libido just vanished. I was wondering why on earth i wasn’t having any strong urges like before.
Yea, some guys get hit with sides after quitting, which is what makes this drug so dangerous… you just don’t know when you’re out of the woods even if you have no problems while on it. Only after quitting will you get your “answer”, and usually within a few weeks/months at most.
So yes it can and does happen, typically when Testosterone/LH/FSH levels drop after quitting. Get bloodwork.
This is what happened to me. No side effects until I stopped. They never went away but I assumed that the side effects must be mental if they started after I stopped the drug! So I decided I should try it again and my life went to hell…dont do that
Well i do intend to get bloodwork done, i’ve left it long enough (10 months) hoping sides will go away. Though these has been some slight improvements, there just has not been enough.
I have an appointment with the doc on Monday, so am going to pluck up the courage to tell him what im going through and ask for some tests. I will eventually see Dr Crisler or someone if this fails.
I had the same problem. Not many problems while on. Two months after quitting, things got worse and have been fluctuating since.
When i spoke to my doctor about all this and said that i had been experiencing sides after quitting, he literally just laughed at that. He understands getting them during taking the drug but not after quitting…
Not just fin the same is true for SawPalmetto. I got side effects exactly 2-3 weeks after quitting.The worst is you can assure you Doc that you are having these sides from fin or Sp they look at you as you were crazy if you insist or repeat then they think you are thinking that the Doc was crazy and that makes them angry.
you said you started back up? what went to hell? what got worse? did you regain your errections after you started back up? quitting results in lower test? It usually bounces back in like 2-3 weeks after quitting for most ??
