Progesterone is an inhibitor of 5AR activity (T -> DHT conversion) so if its way off the charts, then it may be causing issues. What was the value and range?
And how is your DHT level?
Here are the levels:
Outside lab-ranges:
TSH - 1.3 mlE/l (0.5-3.6)
Free T4 - 13.8 pmol/l (8.0 - 20.0)
Tyrocksin - 110 nmol/l (60 - 120)
T3 Trijodtyronin - 2.2 nmol/l (1.2-2.7)
TBG - 16.6 mg/l (12.0-28.0)
Oestradiol - 0.09 nmol/l (0.06 - 0.14)
Testosterone - 15.1 nmol/l (8-35)
DHEA-Sulfat - 8.1 ymol/l (1.6 - 12.0)
DHT - 1.18 nmol/l (0.90-3.10)
CBG - 1157 nmol/l (750-1600)
DHEA - 11.5 nmol/l

Well out of your results:
The 2nd one looks like the bigger concern since it’s elevated beyond range, wherease the other (3.1) is just a hair above the reference range… regardless, I’m not sure about how to lower progesterone in men, you’d have to do some research on it. Possibly by doing so your DHT may go up further… but I am no expert.
Probably best to get a 2nd opinion from another doc…
Mew is right. I don’t see how progesterone can cause brain damage. i guess i am probably wrong but I thought brain damage is mostly caused by lack of oxygen to brain and/or heavy trauma/blunts to the head.
