Have you taken any Immunosuppressant like prednisone, methotrexate or dexamethasone

I have read many posts here and on other forums where people have claimed to have great recovery from immunosuppressants. I don’t think we can ignore these posts.
Guys! Please post your experience.

1-when did you take immunsuppressants, while on the drug or after stopping the drug?
2- how long did you take?
3-how did you feel?
4-what(Prednisone, Methotrexate, or dexamethasone) did you take ?

I dont think that most people here realize that just taking these steroids does not mean they are suppressing the immune system.

For example…I took anywhere from 15mg-40mg of hydrocortisone a day. This amount is not immunosupressive. In fact, its actuallysupportive of the immune system. It isnt untill you get into really high doses of these steroids that you start to supress the immune system. You can take up to 200-300mg (20x what I took) to help the immune system combat infection and major surgery.

I took 30 mg of dexamethasone last week, no change really except I woke up the next day feeling slightly “hungover” and more hungry than usual.

Thou I think the usual immune-supressive protocol for dexamethasone is 40 mg X four days in a row followed by 14 days off. Rinse/repeat.

i took the supression test about a month ago to rule out Cushings Syndrome. It was a very low dose of 1mg and did completely supresse cortisol production. Coincidence or not, I had a few good days following it.

When I took the suppression test I also had a good day afterward myself. But nothing from 30 mg… I spent a long time trying to figure out what about dexa had helped me so much… its a immune suppressant but also a anti-inflammatory…

I am back to taking HydroCortisone daily. My adrenals are just too weak. Helps a ton with energy, brainfog, sleep, etc.

I inject humira every second week due to ankylosing spondylitis it does nothing all to relieve sexual issues post Finasteride.

About one month after my crash, I dislocated my shoulder while skateboarding. The doctor gave me prednisone to reduce the inflammation and scar tissue. I remember feeling super stimulated on it, like adderall but with no motivation and only restlessness and pounding heart. It made me feel super uncomfortable. This was after about one week on the dose. I quit taking it after.

It did nothing for libido or any other symptom, really.
