Hartford Courant Propecia Story and Interview

With all due respect, was this one of your other personalities who made the above post?

To answer your question of “what the fuck does this have to do with anything” - We need as much scientific fact as possible out there. Merck is going to try to paint us a bunch of people just out to make a quick buck even though they are well aware they were playing russian roulette with this drug.

btw- I’ve spoken with the attorney who filed this case. He admitted to me that this only got on his radar a few weeks prior to filing. And, when I asked him to forward some documents to me per the instructions of the Conn firm he sent me back a one line email stating, “Ive sent you these twice”. I had not received anything from him prior. Not sure this is the firm for us if this how they are going to choose to communicate.

Guys relax, I think you both have good points here. The PR clearly could have included better information, but we really don’t know what was provided by the men that have signed on with them.

The bottom line is, finally things seem to be moving in the right direction. This is a great start.

Also, I would imagine as time progresses the multiple firms signing on could share information and improve statments like this in the future.

I called this lawfirm and spoke to several of the attorneys there. They said they have watching this situation for quite a while and waiting for things to evolve. I gave them all of my details regarding my case and called me back telling me they think have a strong case.

Ed called me as well. I spoke to him for about 15 minutes. This guy knows a lot about propecia and the damage it does. He talked about IRwig’s study and different remedies that I should try. He talked about how the labeling of the product in Europe contains far more warnings about the type of permenant side effects we have. I think this lawfirm as good as any of them. He told me they have had a lot of guys calling in over the last few days.

I get the impression that the Conn firm has been following this for “a while”, but the guy from NJ/Philly said he has only been aware of this for a few weeks prior to filing. Not saying I won’t use them, but I’m gonna look around a bit more. The Conn firm partner is also a Chemist and he did have some ideas and understanding of PFS from that perspective.

BTW - The Courant story was picked up by the LA Times too in case no one noticed.

Dude. I tried to be nice Boston332 Multiple personalities? Go fuck yourself.

Look, I did my part and actually did an interview limp dick. What did you do for us? Let me guess…you hovered over this forum and hid behind your computer screen? Analyzing more scientific, mental-masturbation, theoretical, finasteride-syndrome, related material and acting as a self appointed fin. expert to whom nobody even listens to…I’ve said my peace and I’ve nothing more to say to you. Dude, give me a break. We are all on the same side as if you haven’t notice. We have to set aside our differences and unite. That’s part of the problem with this forum. It’s helpful but it doesn’t unite us in any possible manner. We have to humble ourselves in understanding that we are not experts, but trying to get help in anyway possible. This is all still in it’s infancy. It could be 10 years before this case even gets resolved and we get a penny. Personally, I just want my health back.

I understand where a lot of you guys are coming from, but robertino has done more to bring this issue to the public’s attention than 90% of us have. We’re sitting there typing about how sick we are and he is out there getting stories published. The lawsuit is going to take 2-3 years, minimum, to come to fruition and there are going to be many many more articles coming out. This is just the beginning. Instead of complaining that robertino didn’t put on his lab coat and stethoscope on and become an instant scientist, I think he should be applauded for getting us some publicity.

Thanks for the support Joe! My pleasure to help our cause. We are brothers…We never had to go through this, but we are sadly. We need to unite and not divide ourselves. I really don’t think I did anything wrong with the initial interview. I felt that whatever you say, they will think your nuts anyway, whether you play the smart boy, emotional, or regular joe take on this, it doesn’t matter initially. This is also personal for me. I made a promise to my dieing mother, with stage 4 cancer, to get these fuckers anyway possible. It felt great to do the interview, because I felt I was helping our cause.
I will not stop until we get these fucks who did this to us. Promise you that!

I too spoke at some length with one of the attorneys listed in this particular suit, and determined that this was not the caliber of firm needed to pursue this type of complex case.

Robertino, I salute you for your courage in doing the interview, and do appreciate your efforts in trying to raise public awareness. And I share your sentiments above.

Robertino,

From one “limp dick” to another, Its great you did the interview. And I understand you didnt write the piece. I’d love to have the chance to be interviewed as anyone else here would. Was it you that approached the paper or did they locate you through Jazlowiecki? If you have been beating down doors of media outlets in your spare time then I applaud you and you have every right to fell self-righteous. I’ve contacted countless newspapers and consumer advocacy groups about PFS, been a guinea pig for treatments and taken part in studies. You should have some vague clue of what you’re talking about before accuse someone of not doing their part.

I was stating it would have been nice if the reporter cited a few of the recent studies to add more scientific credence to our condition. You answered my same post twice. First time you seemed coherent and said “true” and a day later you say “wtf does that have to do with anything”? Multiple personalities? Maybe.

I’ve never professed to be “fin expert” and always post from what my experiences have been through treatment with two of the PFS docs. Some have asked me to post as they interested in what treatments they are trying. I don’t give a damn if you read it or not.

No one asked Roberino to “become an instant scientist”. No idea what that refers to.

We’re with ya, Totti. Keep it up.

Robertino,

I’m in the northeast. If this reporter does want to speak with more of us and do a follow up piece I am more than willing to speak with him and provide him with whatever he needs.

I tried to long in several times today to their website to post a response and got server error message. Tried to log in again with lost password function and it wouldnt recognize my password. Tried to open a new account and said user email already exists. I’ll try again later.

Thanks you guys. This is a war we are in remember. Get off your asses and from behind your computer internet foxholes.

It’s time for action my brothers!

Boston…seriously…limp dick’s united?! LOL

My pleasure in doing the interview. Seriously, just trying to help. No self righteousness here man. Being sick sucks. Plain and simple. I just did something, that’s all. The paper got ahold of me through Jazlowiecki. I interviewed at his office. Dude. I personally didn’t have time to get into the scientific side of things with the reporter. I only spoke with him for like 20 minutes. He asked very basic questions about how I felt and what I was going through…the emotional side of things, so to speak…I can give anyone the reporters phone number if you want to be interviewed. Just PM me, if you want to contact him. A group interview for a more extensive article sounds great. Make it happen. Give the guy a call and discuss this with him.

…Ego’s, insults, and criticisms aside, I wish you guys really could understand that public awareness is really what we need, and not spending too much time doing nothing. This forum should have a section, for planned activism and for us organizing, and not just typing away on our computer’s driving ourselves crazy trying to solve our problems in isolation. Rise up my friends. Rise up. It’s time.

I think we all understand we need public awareness and no one is trying to diminish the importance of the article. I hope there are many more to come. Obviously the reporter wanted an emotional response from a sufferer which is understandable. We all know Merck will say we are a bunch of greedy hypocondriacs who are out for a fast buck. To defeat that we need documented medical facts. I will pick a law firm and sue. I hope I get the chance to testify and let a jury decide which one of us is the greedy bastard.
