Guys give me your best Immune System related Fin articles...

I’ve been on Dr Crisler’s forum and an excellent poster, “hardasnails” has offered to try bring this condition to the attention of some potentially interested well qualified doctors to apply for funding that might bring some real progress in this whole debacle.

You’ll see his post here.

This guy is some kind of apprentice doctor / shadow doctor who liaises with some of the best. He, himself, has a very interesting approach (i.e. he looks at why the body is acting in certain ways, i.e - root causes).

Anyway, I’ve offered to give him some of the best material available in respect to finasteride and the immune system. I think, for instance, Dr Ayers write up ( coolinginflammation.blogspot.com/ ) is very useful, but i’d like some stuff more a part of the literature.

What have you got guys? I’m expecting Mew et al to come up with some good stuff here. We need to pick our material very closely so as to get legitimate interest from this doctor. Who knows what may come from it…

Mens Rea,

I just had the CRP (creative reactive protein) test done and got the results today. My CRP number is low indicating wide spread inflammation is not an issue. Now could there be specific organs such as intestines, liver, prostate that are inflammed, that don’t show up on this test? That might be an entirely different thing. I’m not sure. If you consider this guys theory maybe you look into inflammation of specific organs.

I know this is not directly related to your thread about Immune System, but it does make the inflammation theory look a little different. I saw that article and along with all of the other discussion on inflammation is the main reason I had that specific test done.

hardasnails spouts a lot of shit on various forums. Maybe that’s harsh, but his whole diet/gut/neurotransmitters stuff doesn’t seem relevant to PFS, in fact he’s even denied the drug is at the centre of victims’ issues.

I’m just sceptical of the guy, some people have been misled by him and he’s out to tout for business a lot of the time for him and his doc.

If this is true though, good luck with it.

It may or may not apply to PFS (his stuff) - the main point of this is a qualified doctor might take interest in this.

There’s no point discussing it amongst ourselves, im interested in the doctors not what a poster (hardasnails) says per se.

HardAsNails aka Shawn aka Matrix aka ‘all the other names he has been banned as’ is not quit the guy you want to associate with. To put it simply he is a duechbag who claims on the internet to be a savior. I do not know of anyone who has been happy with his consulting. But I do know plenty of people who went to him and are very truthful about how bad he is. He always has knew theories on things and tests them out with new patients who most of the time do not get better…then blames the patient.

Do not trust him or go to him/his doctor. However, he can get research going (as long as he isn’t involved in the research) then that would be a great thing.

As far as the immune system… I do not have articles/research…but just look at all the cases of Candida. Look at all the people who developed Leaky Gut, food allergies, those who developed infections and rashes during their crash, all the people with infections in their prostates, JN with a pinworm, etc.

He is always trying to sell his services on the different forums - says it all i think.

Does it really hurt to pass on the articles?

How many of these cases of candida are confirmed? And JN, I’m still not clear as to the testing he used to confirm this as well as naming an “unnamed parasite”.

I think a lot of the cases of candida here are self-diagnosed and not justified. The medication taken to fix candida, such as nystatin, and this goes for antibiotics clearing any “bad bacteria”, can affect the body further than just their intended uses. For example, many antibiotics make the body overly sensitive to sunlight. In this case it seems that they do more than just kill bacteria so the true cause of improvements some get through taking them may not be known.
