It seems they have done worse than doing nothing by continuing to suppress changes in labeling like when they changed the warning labels in Europe but not in the united states.

Annon, Your the second or third person from the UK that I have seen make this similar statement. I’m not sure how things work with the legal system and marketing pharmaceutical products in Britain or exactly where you are located. I do know how it works in the US.
The marketing materials that encompass the description of side effects are legally binding in the US. You can’t just add whatever you would like and expect there will be no legal consequences. The original Merck materials, claimed that all side effects would stop upon discontinuation of the drug. I have one of these papers at home and will look for the exact verbiage.
This is just one angle that could be used in a lawsuit. The company never conducted a long term medical study to make such a claim. Recently, they changed and updated these materials to include a whole new list of side effects and now claim side effects could be permanent. IMO, this is what’s called damage control. They are trying to limit the potential legal damages due to their negligence.
I also feel getting my health back is most important. However, the horrific damage this drug has done has extended beyond enjoyment of life. It has effected our ability to work and provide for ourselves and family. If you have an opportunity to join a class suit in your country and are eligible, I think you would be foolish not to do so.

But by taking Merk to court you will safe lives of thousand of innocent males and teach these thugs a lesson.
Maybe i should proceed with legal action. If i got some payout it would help fund a recovery. I wouldnt however know where to start with this and right now im not sure i have the energy or frame of mind. I am just trying to getting through each day at a time. Can anyone shed some advice. Maybe those of us in the UK should start some discussion about a group case.
I dont know much about legal action as well but through this forum you will get very limited help. This is still not known to billions of people. you will have to access most fin sufferers through the media.

I think he’s saying that in order to reach and galvanize a critical mass of PFS sufferers in the UK to initiate a lawsuit, he would be better off using the media than this forum.

God Help Me, although I am not necessarily religious, my spirituality has been greatly expanding. Your post is very inspiring, and I thank you for making this post. Do not absorb any of the negativity in this thread, neither should anyone that is reading this.

I find myself pleading with the sky at times, just begging to make things better. I am not religious though.
yes calling your creator is very important, although we should remember him all the time but when you are depressed and feel helpless it becomes very
important.Remembering him has very calming effects on ones body and mind. When you think we have been created by him and will go back to him and he will reward us for our sufferings(according to my religion for all of our sufferings there is reward in the life here after) you think you did not loose.
Honestly if some thing that has saved me from committing suicide about an year ago when my pain was at its peak that was my belief in God. My religion does not permit suicide.It is considerd very big sin.
that said we have some memebers here who do not believe in God.so what they should do? They shoud go and read all the bibles with an unbiased view. Just read the authentic orignal bilbles (old testement , new testiment and the Quran). But please don’t judge any religion by its followers. We as human being have difference of opinions and hence different religions and with in a religion differen sects. So read the bibles with an open heart (don’t look anywhere for the interpretation so that you keep your vision clear) and whenever and where ever you feel God is talking to you take it and stay with it.
