FUNCTIONAL LIVER DETOXIFICATION PROFILE (FLDP), anyone had?

I am asking if anyone has had this test. Not because of other threads on the board but just wondering about my own situation and experiences.

Just an example when i drunk pre fin i would be hung over the next morning, now when i drink i am fine the next morning, then become hung over later on in the day and it can last the whole next day.

I will get this done if no one has had it done, i could not find anyone tested via forum search.

This looks very interesting, another good find Tim. Maybe impaired glucuronidation could play a part in some cases of persisting high estrogen… (I just started to take calcium-d-glucarate actually, the problem is seems to lowers E2 but also precursors to 17-ketosteroids, so it may lower other important androgenic hormones like Androstenedione, Dehydroepiandrosterone(DHEA) and Androsterone ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3091283?dopt=Abstract)

This test sounds interesting also:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erythromycin_breath_test

The erythromycin breath test (ERMBT) is a method used to measure metabolism (oxidation and elimination from the system) by a part of the cytochrome P450 system.

Google " polymorphism CYP3A4 (it’s part of the P450 liver enzyme group) that metabolizes finasteride. (Finasteride is an “inhibitor”)

“These results indicated
that individuals might potentially have alterations in
their ability to metabolize not only testosterone but potentially
other pharmacores. Future studies will address metabolism
of clinically important drugs.” jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/299/3/825.full.pdf

The steroid hydroxylase CYP3A4 is the most abundant P-450 enzyme in the human liver, and CYP3A enzymes metabolize more than 50% of prescription drugs. The CYP3A4 gene is expressed in the liver, gut, colon, prostate, and breast. aje.oxfordjournals.org/content/160/9/825.full

Importantly, CYP-regulated drug metabolism is
prone to genetic variability that can result in an
enzyme with normal, low, or no activity. CYP
polymorphisms are responsible for observed variations
in drug response among patients with different
ethnic origins (5,6), which could be combined
with genetic variations in other DME, drug
transporters, and drug receptors. ljkzedo.com.ba/medglasnik/vol81/MGvol81.2011_18.pdf

The ruffneck

Look at this, its all over the place. I am getting this test.

has anyone else gotten this test?

When I search for this test on the internet I only find labs in Australia, can someone tell me how to get this test in the USA?

I’m attaching a sample file from http://www.healthscopepathology.com.au, if you followed either thread:

Finasteride causes glutathione depletion and leads to CFS?
Methylation Cycle and The P450 Systems

you will see that the information is very relevant to us

what happened to this thread? Guys we were on track. There are strong evidence low activity of P450 after Fin/SP is the cause of our suffering. Any drug or herb which inhibits P450 especially CYP3A4, may cause PFS like symptoms in predisposed people.
I live in Canada does anybody know where to get these tests done?

Hi, i know this is an old thread but i will post here my opinion on the test.

It was worthwhile to me to know that most of my symptoms come from the liver but the liver has a remarkable way of healing itself. The problem lies further up the chain, some kind of mineral/vitamin/emotional problem or bacterial/parasite infection that is causing stress either mental or physical (increased toxin load from parasite etc) is what is boosting phase 1 and depleting phase 2.So my opinion is better to do testing on minerals/vitamins/aminos/bacteria/parasites/infections than liver.

Trust me i have tried many times to do work on the liver but it didn’t do much for me.Sadly many supplements need to be detoxed by the liver and this causes the issue where supplements that may help kill the infection make you so sick due to a poorly functioning liver that was caused by the infections. It is a vicious cycle. If you can do green juice fasting i recommend it.

Very helpful post
