It also appears that Dutasteride has completely altered the effects of every drug I take…

Alcohol: Used to make me socialable, excitable, musically inclined, and euphoric. Now it just makes me spacy.
LSD: Used to make me musically inclined and socialable, laughing and euphoric. Now it makes it difficult to see.
Xanax: Used to make me calm and comfortable. Now it does nothing.
Caffiene: Used to make me excitable. Now it just makes me nervous.
Weed: Used to make me giggly and euphoric, musically inclined and touchy-feely around close friends. Now it just makes me nervous.
DXM: Used to make me dissociate/hallucinate. Now it does nothing.
Nicotine: Used to calm me down when smoking and make me nervious when quitting. Now it does nothing.

and…

Music: Used to make me very happy and excited, now it does nothing. There’s just no emotions there anymore.

Taking those drugs to begin with alters your mind state, so the better question is why are you taking these substances? Especially DXM and LSD. All of the above can cause sexual dysfunction and exacerbate it.

I was taking them because I used to be big into the party scene. I don’t take them anymore but these are just some things that I noticed about their consumption once I started taking Propecia. If I had known what the hell was going on in my head I certainly would have stopped the drugs and the Propecia sooner.

i;ve watched the youtube videos about randy…however i cant deny that taking drugs wasnt the smartest idea…seriously, why would you take drugs or even drink when you know your body is a complete mess?? im so sorry for him…but we got to admit that LSD and other drugs including alchool…possibly(absolutely) got him into a WAAAY much deeper depression/and fucked up brain condition…along with the body as well. oh randy…hope you 're doing fine…wherever you are

Hardly. I have friends that have done all of those and that drink, smoke and drink coffee daily and they have great lives and make a very good living.

You could do heroin for a year and come out a million times better than if you crash using finasteride.

fin fu&ked me up 1000 times more than any illegal drugs I’ve ever done. That being said I agree with braziliandude, after fin I rarely even have a drink anymore. Drugs don’t take me to a happy place anymore, just to a introspective introverted place where I wonder what the hell happened. I miss the old days.
