DHT Signalling

Hey guys,

So today my Doctor called me and he has been chatting to some professors regarding the actions of finasteride, they to believe that it should be taken from the market for cosmetic purposes. My Dr was telling me they believe there is an issue with DHT signalling after discontinuation of the drug. Anyone had much luck with DHT Therapy to activate signalling again?

Cheer,

T

Good to know that doctors are starting to talk about this.

dgreene, my thoughts exactly. I really would not be suprised if people start flooding doctors with this condition. I am sorry all you guys out there, we ain’t that special, meaning this will probably effect a large portion of people. Again, my side effects only surfaced 9 years later!

Propeciashiz, did your doctor mention if any doctors/scientists knew if there was a way to reverse the side effects? Maybe specialists in prostate cancer may be able to figure something out. It seems like the medical community is interested in this problem which is good.

Well my DR contacted these professors apparently they have already been trying treatments on other people. He told me they have been using DHT injections to help signalling. Which makes sense because finasteride shuts down your DHT conversion.

I’ll try get some more info, atm i’m doing HCG. With a bit of success.

Haven’t people tried all of these approaches with no success though? Many people have tried HcG. I’ve tried Clomid, it helped lower my estrogen when I came off it but other than that, no improvements.

Also, won’t adding DHT make things worse? Isn’t it the DHT surge that screwed up our AR signaling?

If your administering small amounts and cycle it, i’m sure it would help or “switch” the signalling back on. For me HCG works a treat, it’s whether once I stop things stay that way.

Exactly what I was going to say.

I’m using DHT Cream. 2 small drops to the chest Every Other Day and I’m feeling much better. But I think it’s too much and was thinking about switching to two small drops applied to the chest once every three days.

And yes, I’ve made the mistake of applying shitload of DHT Cream despite people warning me not to.

IHP cycled proviron a lot before he tried his fasting treatment. You can read about how he mentioned it shut him down a few times. Maybe it actually did do something but just took a while to work?

I wonder if shocking the cells with DHT and then withdrawing it may do something. Sort of like doing the reverse of what happened when we experienced a DHT surge.

Propeciashiz, please keep us updated with what your doctors are trying. Also, are these the doctors/scientists that are conducting the Australian PFS studies?

As I said most of the guys dosed stupid amounts. If you do low amounts it can help with the signalling and help you out. Refer to what second amendment said.

I’ll defintley keep you posted, I think it’s viable treatment for guys who used finasteride for a long period.

Absolutely not. Many here, me the most recent, made that mistake. That set back the huge gains I was making. I started all over 3 weeks ago and I’ve regained lost ground. 2 small drops of DHT cream on my chest EOD. I think it’s too much and suppressing my HPTA. I’m gonna do 1 day one 2 days off.

Second Amendment, it is fascinating that the DHT is helping you. It actually 100% fits my theory that low DHT/progesterone synthesis has lead to high histamine (inflamation) and the adrenal response to it.

How do you feel better specifically? mental clarity, sexual function, physical change etc?

Second Amendment, so the idea is that you add so little DHT that you somehow reactivate DHT signaling, but prevent shutting down?

How does this fit in with the AR signaling research results? I feel as though this would go against what they have found.

Do you have a link for the article on ar signalling. It makes sense that low doses of DHT can increase signalling. Worth a shot. Ill let you know if i hear anything else…

There has been a studie about this in the past, was also here in the forum somewhere

“transcriptional activity normalized either after administration of supraphysiologic concentrations of endogenous androgens (e.g., testosterone or dihydrotestosterone, DHT), synthetic androgens (Mibolerone or R1881), or after treatment with frequent pulses (up to every four hours) of physiologic doses of DHT.”

“We hypothesized that AR point mutations localized in the ligand binding domain and associated with normal 3H-DHT Bmax and Kd may be reversible, and proved this by using the new AR HCA technology and conventional assays, such as NC-TDI”

Such things has also been tryed with Diabetis type 2… to fight a Insulineresistenz… the big question is, will the cells may be even shut down more? Some here seem to get worse after raising DHT to much. The dosage is always very important and also the time it stays in the body…
for me personal a big question is what happens puberty…epigenetic shut down genes can switched on again. We see that people can recover and people can get better with time.

AIS is just a theory. I’m still convinced if guys try lower doses they will feel better or fix themselves. The signalling isn’t going to fix itself naturally…“IF” that is the problem with long-term users.

Why dht on the chest? Why not on the penis? I applied andractim on my penis 3 times i think and it didn’t give me great results, maybe it made my erection harder but more difficult to achieve.

I too am using two small (1cm on each nipple) drops of andractim on the chest. Application on the chest in my case has the aim of getting rid of Gynecomastia. I made only one application two days ago (I waited to understand what effect it would have on the next days). Will have another drop today. DHT apparently revived somewhat my morning erections. This may also be due to the fact that I am sleeping on a new mattress.

I doubt it…

Apparently I do sleep somewhat better on it. But yes, in reality that was more a gag than hypotesis. I forgot the smile…
