Dentist Painkillers / anaesthetic

I went to the dentist earlier, suspecting I might need a filling. Once I sat in the waiting room I realised I had no idea what I’d be injected with if I did and then thought I should probably refuse the injection until I knew what was going to be entering my system.

As it turns out, I didn’t need a filling at all.

Does anyone know what dentists use and if it’s potentially harmful for us?

I would think the composite resin or ceramic fillings are the safest way to go, probably wouldn’t worry to much about it in general.

Thank you, I was thinking more the numbing injection than the filling itself, since that definitely enters the bloodstream.

Ooh, sorry you mean the novacaine?? Yeah that’s actually a good question.
