Calling for Study Participants for First Molecular Level PFS Study EVER ********************

What is the next step in the investigation?

Looking at awor’s original post it states that:-
“Severe penile insensitivity/foreskin numbness (loss of sensitivity to touch) is a prerequisite in order to participate.”.
Would the severe penile insensitivity/foreskin numbness be a prerequisite in order to participate in the next stage of investigations?

I do not suffer from these particular side effects, but would be interested in participating in further studies and making financial contributions towards further investigations if required.

Yawn

Is there going to be any further info posted? An update would be nice. Thanks.

Hi guys, sorry for not being very present lately. I also have a pretty big backlog of pm’s to answer as well :frowning:

Unfortunately, all I can say at the moment is to re-iterate what I have already said in the past:

  1. What we are working on is basic science, meaning that we are pushing the frontiers of knowledge in this field. What we will potentially discover, has never been discovered before. The complete lack of knowledge about this problem in the medical and scientific community is the proof of this. Else, we all wouldn’t be sitting here. Basic science doesn’t happen from one week to the next, not even from one month to the next. So please, be patient.

  2. Yes, we have some results. However, we will need to dig deeper into this to clarify the picture. More experiments are going on at the moment which will hopefully help us achieve more clarity. However, still more will be required.

  3. The return on investment for the scientists is the publication of their data. I absolutely cannot talk about any preliminary results before they have been published. Doing so would seriously compromise the relationship we have with these people. Unfortunately, I can’t even talk about the exact nature of the experiments either. These publications will hopefully happen sometime in the first half of next year.

  4. Such investigations have multiple phases. We are currently in the pilot phase, where we are trying to discover the basic problem and validate that we are moving in the right direction. From what we have found so far, it seems likely that we are looking in the right places. This initial pilot phase was funded by the institutions these scientists work for. However, further phases will follow, and these will require additional external funding. Until we can make this problem big enough to attract the attention from government grants, we will need to fill the gap by providing funds ourselves. We are currently in the process of trying to outline the next steps with the scientists and determine what funding will be required. Once we have a consensus on this, I will let you know. This process may take until the end of the year.

So, basically, the bad news is that this problem is likely to be pretty complex (which was to be expected). The good news is that we are increasingly getting the right kind of people involved in this investigation and generally getting an increase in public attention. This will help us in the long run.

Unfortunately, my work load at the moment, besides this non-paid scientific job of mine, is strongly absorbing me. So please understand if I can’t respond to all of your questions in a timely manner.

Thanks awor, you are doing great.

Thanks for everything, Awor. Everyone here appreciates all the work you’re doing.

In addition to Awor’s recent update, I will address some of the specific questions asked throughout the thread:

The investigation is still in its preliminary stages, please refer to Awor’s latest update for details: viewtopic.php?p=45182#p45182

We would ask everyone to be patient until the researchers publish their findings.

It was a day of presentations from the speakers on various topics,as noted here: viewtopic.php?p=44393#p44393

Apparently, there were some Italian dermatologists in attendance who were trying to defend Finasteride in various capacities.

The study did not investigate risk of cancer. Refer to Awor’s latest update regarding funding: viewtopic.php?p=45182#p45182

The study did not investigate whether nerve damage has occurred in the penis, that would be a different study to undertake.

Whether the results are good/bad for our recovery is too early to speculate. We must wait and see what the scientists have to say about the problem in greater detail.

Dr. Irwig was the keynote speaker, as noted in the links above. Dr. Traish was not in attendance.

Things went ahead as expected, although the data results were/are still preliminary and need further investigation.

Not at this stage, perhaps in a future investigation.

Refer to Awor’s latest update regarding funding: viewtopic.php?p=45182#p45182

See reply to question #8.

Unknown at this time.

See Awor’s latest update, specifically point #4: viewtopic.php?p=45182#p45182

Re. 2: Even though my Italian isn’t really great, I don’t recall politicians opposing the conference. It was only 2 or 3 dermatologists.

Re. 7: One (main) hypothesis that we are validating can explain low 3a-diol-g. It would also explain other hormonal imbalances such as estrogen and vitamin D3.

Thank you. Again, it’s not only me. It’s team work (there are a number of people involved in various roles), but I will gladly pass on your thanks and appreciation.

Corrections noted. As I did not attend the conference, I am simply relaying information provided to me. Cheers.

Awor and Mew, thanks for the update.

if i remember well, the iltalian politician maran is the one that promoted anti propecia parlamentary interrogation.

some more questions

After the exit of the studies will be at least one standard analysis protocol for discriminate pfs sufferers from prostatitis/othersthings sufferers (or it will takes more years)?

Who recovered partially or completely by time, will still have some permanent sign of PFS affection to be shown at lawsuit ?

thx to all people involved in this research

Could you please describe what issues they raised? Why were they opposing the conference? Even though I probably won’t agree with their citisism, it would still be interesting to hear what they focus on.

What the fuck? why would politicians oppose the conference?

There weren’t any politicians opposing the conference, it was a mistake in the information I was given. There were a few derms instead. It is likely they were against the event due to the impact this problem might have on their livelihoods, but that’s just speculation on my part, as I wasn’t there.

this mean that ths politician is against propecia

Mew and Awor, thanks for taking time out of your busy schedules to post these updates and answers to the various questions. Much appreciated. Looking forward to further updates as progress is made.

What is the main hypothesis?

He could tell us what the main hypothesis is, but then he would have to kill us.

Explaining the hypothesis would put the studies at risk…not worth it.
