Cantsleep - Id like to really encourage you to go see Shippen. I know its alot of cash and its tight for you but if there is ANY way you can swing it please go. I know that for me not off’ing myself is an hour by hour battle. Maybe Shippen can give you some hope or ideas. Maybe he will see you and diagnose something different. You never know. And, I think the more of us who pursue this in the medical community and raise aweness the better it will be for everyone.
The thing that gets me is the blood tests. I had no idea these things were so expensive. $100 just for total T! I was prepared to deal with Shippen’s fees and the drug costs, but I didn’t expect blood tests to be so outrageously expensive. There has to be a place I can get them done more cheaply that will give results Shippen will accept.
Otherwise, he is probably going to be testing a variety of hormones FREQUENTLY, and I can easily see blowing $1000 a month doing this.
Not canceling yet though. In fact I may just see him first and see where it takes me. I could go for a nice road trip up to PA anyway. I just wish there was ONE story of a guy in our condition who has been healed by him. That would be more than enough encouragement to go.
You might be THE ONE. We all have different bodies and you never know. If you have the money or can borrow it SPEND IT. I really dont see 1K a month, although I could be wrong. Otherside of the coin is I bet ALOT of guys here would spend 1k a month for a year even to get back to normal. You seem like a bright young guy. When you’re back in good health and top of your game you will have the rest of your life to earn $.

Yes, I saw those threads. My gf has offered him cash (without my knowledge) and he has refused it. She has forwarded me the emails. He said I could call him if I wanted to and he gave her his UK phone number. Yes, I agree 100% it is prolly a scam. First thing out of his mouth about money and I’d hang up. But Mew, some people handle this better than others and I’m pretty devestated at the moment and willing to at least listen. Also his description of his sides are different from mine. (If he ever even really had PFS) From what I understand he never had the shrinkage issues alot of us have and his sides set in while on the drug. Mine didnt appear until after I quit the poison. Still, you’re right. If I had something that worked I’d be screaming it from the rooftops. I’d call all 1500 people on this forum personally and let them know.
As far as the value of seeing Shippen goes - if I go to see him and he says “yes, this looks like classic PFS” then at least I will know what I’m up against and not wondering if its something else. And, if seeing me helps create a case study that helps others, even if I never get better, then added bonus. I plan to post everything Shippen tells me (as long as its ok with the forum mods and Shippen) here.

Things for me seem to be worsening. Penis back to 1/2 size and erections almost impossible. Shaft of penis and testicals ache.

I think a couple of people have seen some occasional fluctuation back to normal size, but generally I don’t think your chances are good, even if you show recovery in other areas.
I’ve basically just stopped even looking at my penis. I always try to keep my eyes averted when I’m naked. Out of sight, out of mind.

the body is an incredible healing machine, but this would require us to find out what the real underlying problem is. we know that some people here already have high dht levels - but aren’t really absorbing the dht properly - which leads to considering an AR problem. thus, some of us tested AR binding, which was also fine - leading us to considering an epigenetic issue. when we FINALLY get someone in this field to study it - hopefully a solution will come and the body can heal. if this isnt the issue, then i simply do not know. perhaps irwig will have another theory.
There have been a couple of guys on here whose penises returned to normal for a few days after they had extreme illnesses, but then returned to their shrunken state. I think Mew had an experience like this in fact.
I would just accept things with your penis at this point. IMO, if shrunken penis is the worst thing that ends up happening to you because of all this, then you should consider yourself lucky. There are some serious long-term health problems potentially at play here.
