Blood tests to detect inflammation - who's had them?

patient.co.uk/health/Blood-Test-Detecting-Inflammation.htm

The link above contains information on two methods to detect inflammation in the body.

 1. C-reactive protein (CRP)
 2. Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)

"The ESR and CRP level are raised in many inflammatory conditions. For example:

Certain infections (mainly bacterial infections)
Abscesses
Certain types of arthritis
Various other muscular and connective tissue disorders
Tissue injury and burns
Cancers
Crohn’s disease
Rejection of an organ transplant
Heart attack"

Are these useful? i am sure a number of members MUST have already had these at some point.

I had CRP tested as part of a standard blood panel 4 or 5 times over the 3 years I was on P, and it was never elevated, nor close to the top end of the normal range. I have not had CRP tested since I’ve been off P, but I was having sides while on fin, not just after discontinuation.

 1. C-reactive protein (CRP)

Mine was too high and Doctor called me his office. He told me I am having muscle wastage and that my heart might get affected. well recent readings are fine. I don’t know b/c of my Vit D use or homeo path med. but it has got fine.
2) Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)
came normal but says it is not a good marker though.

anyone else?

i wish there was an easy way to measure prostaglandin e2

didn’t look at the website, but i got did a kidney urine test last weekish and inflammation was detected in the urine test. if you do a urine test, white blood cells in the urine show there is inflammation.

to combat inflammation, i’ve been drinking large amounts of aloe vera (8 oz in morning and night), taking ginger at least 2x a day (i cut up a large piece into many small pieces and swallow with water), taking 3-4 crushed garlic at least 2x a day, rubbing castor oil on stomach with cloth on top with heating pad over to help with inflammation of digestive tract, taking probiotics that has glutamine in the mixture, and other random vitamins that can help with the problem.

google naturepathic + inflammation to find out more ways to fight inflammation and do it on a daily basis. i wouldn’t touch pharmaceuticals that fight inflammation, they have nasty side effects and you have a lingering issue that isn’t being solved.

edit… also forgot to add omega 3’s. one of the most important, how could i forget lol. fish high in omega3’s on a daily basis. i do sardines and salmon, one or the other every day to get protein, also flax seed has omega 3’s which i also do.

omega 3’s create the body’s natural defenses against inflammation. sooo important. read up on it, it’s crazy stuff.

Any improvements Bryce?

Bumping this, i am really surprised more of us aren’t getting these tests.

Why dont you.

Also have you searched the forum to have a look if anyone has had them?

I am noting that people are just relying on other people, many are just sleeping partners.

I have done following

1-ANA test that cam negative
2-ESR which came normal
3- already wrote my CRP has not been normal

About ANA and ESR many believe if they are +ve then for sure it is not normal but if these are normal still it does not mean you dont have auto immune.

does any body know about other auto immune tests?

thanks

sps

Here’s a list of causes of auto immune diseases and along with that you can test the different causes:

hs-CRP came back very low.
Homocystein also can indicate/cause inflammation and was low.

however there was “vascular inflammation” shown by elevated “small dense LDL particles”

did you get any benefit from CAstor oil pads and rubbing on liver detox?

a guy had a heart attack after taking SP and had inflammation in heart sacs

I will not unbelieve. And this shit is still on the loose.
The guy survive? how do you know him?
