Blood test predicts Alzheimer's by showing low lipid levels

It’s possible PFS sufferers have some lipid deficiencies in their skin and blood. Our skin is very dry. We have very poor short-term memories.

My cholesterol is well above range so not for me.

you have no idea what you are talking about. there are many kind of lipids. And this is known fact 5ARi reduce intercelular lipids.

“The researchers identified the 10 lipids after some of the volunteers were showing the first signs of dementia, and then used the same panel of “biomarkers” to predict whether the other volunteers will go on to develop the disorder.”

Forgive me if I sound a bit overly optimistic, but don’t you think that by the time this becomes an issue for most of us, there will be solid treatment for both PFS and Alzheimer’s? This isn’t something I’m freaking out about too much.

My colestrol was low, had it tested 2 months before I took fin. I was sharp minded and in relative good health at that time.

In just a few days use of fin I feel like I have a bad case of Alzheimer’s. The sleep issues don’t help.

The current studies scope is to prove this is a real condition. Alzheimer’s has been around a long time and is recognized by the medical community. Not sure I share your optimism on a treatment for either. At least not for those of us that already have PFS. Honestly full blown PFS is so bad… The Alzheimer’s effect is only one of many PFS issues. In fact I will put money down on PFS being a combination of diseases and other syndromes. The blocking of enzymes and altered hormones opened the flood gates. I will also bet there is a genetic component. One that is currently not fixable.

Thanks for your encouraging words again.

Sorry man, I am getting angry as hell. Anything that touches me hurts. You are the an amazing guy. I am deeply sorry for what this drug has done to you. There is some unbelievable shit happening here. There is a very good reason why I say this is DNA/genetic mutation. If I make it to my appointment at Baylor at least I contributed to the research.
