Association of Vitamin D and Global DNA Methylation: Cross-Sectional and Interventional Findings

I also fund that sugar also increase methyliation.
( High levels of glucose were also found to directly increase DNA methylation)

Interestingly, DNA methylation of 4875 CpG sites in adipose tissue was affected differently depending on the diet. Fasting may also affect the DNA methylation pattern. Indeed, 36 h of fasting affected the methylation level of the genes encoding leptin and adiponectin in a birth weight dependent manner in adipose tissue.

Everything above explain why when we fast we fell better, when eat sugar we feel bad, crash with vitamin B and D.

Yeah everything related with new Melcangi fundings, we have to follow that route for sure…

Fasting does a lot more that could explain giving u good feeling then just methylation. It’s too easy to say it’s that. Fasting can give a state of slight euphoria for everyone (also people without PFS), which isnt because of the methylation changes. I think this is way more probable of a cause.

Spot on. I find it frustrating when people extrapolate their transient feelings to significant adjustment of complex biological processes they don’t understand (even if they may feel that they do).
Occam’s razor should apply generally when discussing these things.
If you don’t know what I’m referring to: https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam’s_razor
