Aspirin as an aromatase inhibitor

Aspirin is an aromatase inhibitor, which means it probably increases testosterone levels in men.

Testosteron: As Aspirin lowers the effect and synthesis of estrogen, it increases testosteron levels in male.
Progesteron: Aspirin’s effect on energy metabolism increases the synthesis of progesteron.
Pituitary: Aspirin supresses the pituitary stress response, lowering PTH, ACTH and cortisol.
Mineral Balance: The lower PTH levels lead to a decreased loss of minerals, improving bone health and preventing excessive loss of sodium.
Serotonin: The lower estrogen levels lead to decreased activity of tryptophan hydroxylase, therefore inhibiting the synthesis of serotonin from tryptophan. Because aspirin prevents agitation of platelets and mast cells, it supresses the release of serotonin into the bloodstream.
Histamin: Lower estrogen, PTH and prolactin levels prevent the secretion of histamin from mast cells. Higher CO2 levels prevent the degranulation of mast cells.
Thyroid: While aspirin doesn’t seem to have a direct effect on thyroid hormones, it simulates the effects of thyroid hormone to some degree.
Cell formation: Aspirin inhibits anormal cell formation, while promoting normal cell formation.
