Are you sensitive to temperatures?

I can withstand cold temperatures, but I’m very sensitive to heat. I NEVER sleep with my whole body under the duvet, and sleeping in a sleeping bag is impossible for me, unless it’s VERY cold outside. I can’t share the duvet with my girlfriend. Her body warmth alone, is usually enough to keep me warm.

The reason I’m asking, is that finasteride acts as a suicide inhibitor. It’s not a traditional suicide inhibitor, but it destroys the enzymes once it binds to them, and the body has to replace them with new enzymes. The half-life is supposed to be approximately one month in body temperature, but I suspect that our metabolism is different.

I had sone changes but not in that wat…im not as sensitive when it comes to heat and cold sensations.

Yes me too, i have serious problems when the temperature gets above 20 degrees cel.

If you’re heat intolerant and not cold intolerant it could be a sign of neuropathy. Is this also accompanied by a decrease in sweating? There are three types of neuropathy: autonomic, peripheral, and sensory. It’s clear most of us have some form of sensory neuropathy (numbness of the genitalia). It’s not a stretch to postulate that further areas of the body were also affected in a similar way given that the 5AR2 enzyme is found throughout the body in various quantities. In addition, the 5AR3 enzyme, which is more prevalent throughout the body though we don’t yet fully know what it’s responsible for, is also inhibited by finasteride. Three further resources to explore this are:

Anyone else got heavy body temp fluctuation? Mine usually fluctuates between 35.5C-37C almost on a daily basis. Usually it’s lowish, 35.5C-36C but sometimes after exercise etc. it can rise to 37C. It has gone as low as 35C sometimes, though luckily not in a while 'cause that definitely feels like SHIT. 35C is where the thermometer starts here and a couple of times it wouldn’t rise one bit, I was fucking terrified. This body temp issue has led me to think that there’s something wrong with my thyroid, and the tests are ongoing… my T4V and TSH have been taken many times during the past 2 years and there’s nothing terribly wrong with them, they’re steadily in normal range and not even close to borders. Now I finally paid a visit to an endocrinologist and he ordered T4V, TSH and T3V along with some other standard tests (Natrium, potassium, urine, etc). Haven’t been to the tests yet but I’m afraid that they reveal nothing new and I have wasted 200 euros. But let’s see…

What were the results of your tests? Was you thyroid low??

Sorry for not replying. My thyroid was low enough to get my doc to prescribe me thyroxin for hypogonadism… I have used it for like 8 months now and it hasn’t really helped. I get some shortness of breath even from a very low dose (0.05mg) and if I go beyond that it leaves me gasping for breath, so I don’t want to do that. I just don’t think this med is going to help me.
