Are we carriers of the PCOS gene - triggered by fin?

many men who do not respond to trt are believed the have the male version of PCOS, a type of metabolic disorder. Also, a main sign for this syndrome is balding before 30. Many of our issues seemingly overlap with PCOS, so I felt this was worth posting.

Very interesting find. I know I started balding in high school. I can remember being teased about it. Mainly just front hairline.

This paper is only theorizing that such a thing may exist - it doesnt claim it does exist. Nobody that has responded poorly to trt is “believed” to have this condition.

The paper makes no mention of trt. In fact PCOS in women leads to hyperandrogenism. The guys on meso-rx are saying this would cause trt not to work because the presence of low SHBG in such an instance would cause test to convert more readily to DHT and E. But Dr Scally himself sees no reason why this should lead to trt not working.

Our main problem is that DHT has no positive androgenic effects. Quite the opposite of what the guys on meso-rx claim is ‘trt failure’ (more DHT).

Apparently balding before 30 is also very common. The paper also states:

Did we all go bald for the same genetic reason? Did we have high levels of androgenicity pre-fin? Maybe! (viewtopic.php?f=27&t=5111) But I dont see why this male-PCOS would cause our problems.

I got balding close to 40 about 38 -39

This article talks about early-onset of overweightness as below

these investigators concluded that the sons of PCOS patients demonstrated early-onset overweightness, observable even in infancy, with the expected hyperinsulinemia and hypercholesterolemia

Let alone overwieghtness, I ,my all borthers, father, extended family etc never been over wieght. We all mostly have been under weight for our life, yet healthy.
