anyone slowly recovering?

Hi everyone

I wanted to ask if in general do you find that you symptoms are improving slowly over time? Ignoring any brief full recoveries you have etc

I ask becaues I’ve been off the drugs 6 months and I think I may have a slight improvement in my symptoms. I guess its safe to say they are not getting any worse. By no means is this a recovery but if I was a 0/100% recovered while on the drug I may be 10/100% now.

The only reason is because this would give me huge hope for the future. Going to see a doc again soon. Please post.

I believe I’m slowly recovering, but I’m also on a pretty intense exercise and diet regimen. It’s hard to say what causes improvement. A third confounding factor is that I’m learning to live with my symptoms, and that might affect how I feel as well.

I believe i am progressively improving (at snail speed).

I don’t think ill get to 100% again but 85% would be fine by me. That other 15% was sheer horn anyway :exclamation:

thats what i feared for me

it’s not easy to remember exactly when i was 100%

JoeyT,

In general most of us here (myself included) really don’t improve much so don’t get discouraged by some of our responses. Some guys have shown improvements in cognition and depression over time. I also believe some of that is a result of a “coming to terms” of sorts as others have mentioned. You could make huge strides in some areas. Live as healthy a lifestyle as you can, continue with treatment and keep a positive attitude.

Best of Luck

Joey

Check out the recoveries section and have a look at past posts of some old users etc. People DO improve. I know it’s hard to believe as most guys that actively use the forum aren’t getting better or may be getting worse and generally everything we read is negative. That’s not to say that the only people in a bad way are the ones who post a lot, that couldn’t be further from the truth, but there ARE guys that slowly get better and lead a normal life. It seems that the sexual issues are the most problematic and are unlikely to abate even with time but you never know. Everyone’s body is different.

Not to sound negative, but, I wonder how many here cycle improvements with steps backwards. At 6 months off I was closer to 100% than at 2 yrs off. I don’t have drastic swings, but, it’s noticeable.

Cognitive improvements I will agree seem to stay moving forward… Sexual well…

I agree with the first paragraph, especially because the body stops reacting to things that previously put pfs into remission.

It is worrying. Even if i were to get better and stay that way for months i would always fear that my body is going to slip back back again at any point in life. God knows what all this means for my future health.

Similer experience. I had a partial recovery about 4 months after stopping which only lasted about a month. No drastic swings anymore for me either.

i am suspicious that i am recovered %100 after two years, my libido is back, sexual desire returned, stable mood un-happy mood, but i cant believe because of some stories that am read here. i am still suspicious my recovery… one thing in my head why my beard & body hair is still the same if am recovered %100?

some brain fog & little slurring in speech persists no hairloss like old days, no more oily skin, all after my 1mg dutasteride & 5 mg finasteride/day doses. i cant believe myself. it is clear that i was too moron & tried to kill myself. thank god i am still able to get erected spontaneosly.

Sanane, your post history is all over the map. Suffice to say I find it very difficult to believe what you have written considering just a few days ago you were complaining about beard issues and use of proviron to try and help yourself. If anything considering your IP address maps to a geographic region known for spammers, I have had my doubts about the validity of your claims and account since day one. Not to mention the constant barrage of nonsensical private messages in broken english, and lack of information and detail in your posts.

What the hell? he is not a spammer, he’s just very confused. He definitely has some issues and he doesn’t need to be on this forum because he has recovered in my opinion.

He told me that he was taking 5 mg finasteride and dutasteride at the same time and he isn’t losing his hair. He is obviously just confused man.

maybe is in a bad period

i post more when i feel bad

Yeah, I’ve gotten better. I used to wake up every 5 hours exactly on the dot, now I don’t have it anymore after extreme dieting. Also, I used to get really bad body fatigue to the point where my body felt so tired and weak, don’t get it anymore…

I can basically get myself a lot better based on what I eat, but if I eat the wrong thing, I start going backwards again. It’s annoying as hell… but I think it just takes time for the body to heal, so just eat healthy, sleep a lot, and exercise a lot.

For me it’s two steps forward one step back. I think i’ll get there in the end, the good thing is that most problems aren’t consistent, symptoms come and go.
