Anyone been treated for hyperthyroidism?

I have experienced very similar in the past

My GP said that it’s likely that I’m about to develop hypothyroidism, and has ordered me to retest thyroid hormones in 3 months, and include anti-TPO. My serum cortisol level (8 AM) was low; 315 nmol/L (range 250 - 750). I’m still waiting for CBG and rT3.

I just noticed that they have tested rT3, and it was 0.48 nmol/L (range 0.23 - 0.54)

My CBG level was BELOW the normal range. To me, it seems like I have a problem with cortisol deficiency, which causes trouble with the thyroid hormones. What’s more interesting, is that I’m suffering from allergies, and I stopped responding to anti-histamines during treatment with Propecia, something which may indicate that my cortisol level did drop.

Hey buddy,

RT3 means something wrong with your thyroid or cortisol

My bet is it is your free cortiosl is low and blood is high like mine. This seems to cause a problem with the metabolism of t3, t3 then ends up as rt3. I quoted that you said the life has been sucked out of you. Low free cortisol will do that.

I cant remember if you tested that. Do a siliva test with alll the hormones you can. These are the hormones active in your body and not bound to protiens.

I am pretty sure of my theroy that we have low free cortisol because low androgen effects.

sorry wrong thread that was meant for merry chrismass.

My recent saliva cortisol test shows that I’m doing OK with cortisol. I’ve also taken two urine tests that indicated high cortisol. Very strange.

We know that hormones values are moving targets, but mine seems to be moving more than most. So I’m ignoring them for now and focusing on steady improvement.
