It seems like people generally recover from fin sides between 1.5 weeks and 1.5 months. After that, natural recovery seems rare. Is it possible for a natural recovery to simply take a bit longer, like 3,4,5,6 months? Does anyone know how long it took the people in the clinical trials to recover?
No one knows, I’ve asked that question to Merck multiple times. They with purpose wrote the language on the side effects vaguely. So they don’t address a timeframe. My guess is some of them in the trials never recovered or are still having problems to a lesser degree.
There are people who recovered with months.
Has anyone reviewed the initial Merck studies on fin, especially how many people that they got to participate? My guess also is that some of those people were damaged. Didn’t they speak up at the hearing to legalize this crap?
They were probably silently paid off a big chunk of change so they wont speak up.
How about we contact them and encourage them to join a class action lawsuit?
ANNON1 do you know how to find their info?
Nobody does, they were part of a Merck study. Merck and the FDA have the info. Try submitting a Freedom of Information act for the Propecia clinical trials… I wouldn’t expect any response, though. That clinical trial was done back in 1996 or 1997 I believe.
I tried this one. The FDA would not confirm if they would release the info and asked for a blank check for copying fees. I gave up after a week of phone calls.
