Anxiety Predisposition for PFS?

The theory as to whether there is an anxiety related predisposition for those who develop PFS surfaced here:

It may have been discussed before, but I thought I’d raise it in its own topic.

Men take Propecia because they are anxious about their hair at least, but maybe there’s a subset of men who have deeper anxieties. Perhaps Propecia damages something in their particular “psyche”; a mechanism related to libido, in a similar way to how alcohol causes a boost, typically referred to as “hangover horn”.

Thoughts?

Many pfs-sufferers have high levels of stress hormone cortisol, and the post propecia crash might be caused by suddenly elevated cortisol. High cortisol also leads to low testosterone.

Men who suffered from anxiety and had high cortisol before propecia usage, might have a greater risk for pfs after quitting.

so if we administer high cortisol to a healthy individual, then he will crash and suffer from low testosterone all his life? after all these years of pfs where side effects persist for decades, this is what you have understood?

This is so ridiculous that writing any comments is waste of time.

Wouldn’t be surprised if there was some truth in this. Certainly fits my profile.

PFS has nothing directly to do with low testosterone. Otherwise we’d all just go on TRT and that would be that.

It involves the relationship between testosterone and other hormonal metabolites. Cortisol is one of them. It’s not a stretch to suggest a dysfunction in one disrupts the rest.
