The theory as to whether there is an anxiety related predisposition for those who develop PFS surfaced here:

It may have been discussed before, but I thought I’d raise it in its own topic.
Men take Propecia because they are anxious about their hair at least, but maybe there’s a subset of men who have deeper anxieties. Perhaps Propecia damages something in their particular “psyche”; a mechanism related to libido, in a similar way to how alcohol causes a boost, typically referred to as “hangover horn”.
