Anti-finasteride medication

Obviously they created a finasteride pharmaceutical, but is there something on the market and/or something in the works that acts as an anti-finasteride pharmaceutical, something that would create the unbinding of the dihydro finasteride (finateride-5AR enzyme) molecule?

I dunno if there is such a thing, although heat denaturing in studies led to release of dihydrofinasteride from the initially bound enzyme-finasteride complex.

From Patent: google.ca/patents?id=2HIkAAA … &ct=result

“Heat denaturation of the (type 2 enzyme:inhibitor) complex releases dihydrofinasteride and presumably the NADP±adduct previously identified with the human 5α-reductases”

Dialysis was mentioned here as possibly restoring enzyme activity:

Finally, there is this patent for treating lost libido from 5AR inhibitors:

Heat denaturization – is this something that is practical i.e. can one go out to a doctor or whoever and get this “procedure” done?

Heat denaturization? Yeah… sure… you can get it done, and without a doctor. Stand in a giant oven until you’re at the right temperature for the finasteride enyzymes to denature, I’m guessing around 90-100 celsius.

Heat denaturization is just when high amounts of heat/energy (E = q) are absorbed by the protein/enzyme and it causes it to unfold/enter a different state, effectively denaturing the protein/enzyme. The only way to do this would be to apply massive amounts of heat to your body, which would then affect the finasteride enzyme. Consequently, it’d affect the majority of enzymes/proteins (as they tend to have similar denaturing points) in your body, and you’d most likely die.

So yes, it theoretically CAN be done (but death would be the most likely side effect). But NO it can’t be done if you don’t want that nasty fatal side effect.

Hope this helps.

And as far as I know, there is no Anti-finasteride substance… just ways to increase DHT. Check out the dialysis thing too… although that seems like quite a hassle to reverse its effects (dialysis is not fun).

Ahh that’s a fairly large side effect. I’ll ruminate over it, but I’ll probably vote against such action.

Here’s an idea… perhaps you can do some research for yourself first before asking such questions, instead of expecting others to do it for you… you may learn a lot in the process and have more to contribute to the convo that way. No offense.

Ahh fair enough. I probably had a comment like that comin’ at me at some point. Will do.
